This was the absolute highlight of our visit to Istanbul. Much, much more than we could imagine. I will visit it every time I visit Istanbul.

Heavy restoration invalidated the visit; no light, just a dark interior generally shrouded for restoration. Given the heavy restorations underway, this mosque, together with the Blue Mosque and the Cistern, all of which are similarly blighted, should be closed until restoration work has been completed,...More

It has always been on my bucket list and it was everything I expected. Beautiful and a lovely mixture of religions. Easy to walk around with both floors accessible and some beautiful frescoes upstairs.

Great place to visit and photograph inside and out. Had the feeling of being in the Pantheon in Rome but Hagia Sophia is much bigger. A great landmark in the city very close to The Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and the Basilica Cistern ❤

Truly worth a visit but be ready for the crowds. Understand that there is a movement to turn it back into a mosque which would be a shame given the old Christian frescos.

Absolutely a must! What an amazing place and so much history. Interestingly learning about empires, architecture. Prices are reasonable and you can find guides everywhere. Would advise to book online though.

Hagia Sophia is marvelous! We did not go inside. We decided to just stay outside for picture taking and to enjoy the cool breeze. At night, the lights made Hagia Sophia so breath-taking. The yellow light from below made the huge cathedral even looks bigger...More

With so many unmissable attractions within a mere

prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly
epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the
Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this
relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to

Most of the museums close around 5pm. But that entire area is really cool to walk around. Get yummy snacks and people watch around huge beautiful buildings. So I didn’t get a chance to go to Taksim but I hear that’s another... More

It’s 60 TL (so like £8) but for 90 you can skip the queue which is what I did and would recommend. Topkapı was the same but if you do both and anything else u may as well get the pass for a few days and you can skip queue... More
