You have to have an approved guide not are our guide. What are they afraid of? Big exhibition of the President. Lots of interesting finds from the archeological sites around Turkmenistan.

Not so big, a bit expensive : 10usd entrance + 10usd for guide, but very nice and well organized. It is a perfect introduction to Turkmen History before visits to différents sites accross the country. Guides there are very good. Interesting visit !

It is a comfortable place for conferences and to grasp the national heritage of Turkmenistan. There is a lift and guides on each floor, as well a guide can be hired for a group of tourists.

Looks more like an incredible over the top marble and gold palace than a museum. But still the tour inside was very informative. I learned more from the guide in an hour about the history of the area than I did previous day on tour....More
