I went with my Sri Lankan friend at Independence memorial hall and many people were doing sport lessons, running etc... There isn't really much to see, however if you are into sport and that you want to run this is your place !

This was created to be a historical monument for the future and structurally looks good. But from an architectural angle it is quite uninspiring Worth going there if you are roaming around in Colombo but that is about it all.
