Poor and rude
Dec 2020
Horrible place, dirty un kept and rude people. The guards who are meant to represent security are to be seen walking around the front of the palace in their undergarments and playing on their phones. See them all the time riding their motorbikes without helmets.. Even saw one drunk Peeing against a car parked in the side road . The only thing they seem to care about are the people who walk on the footpath out the front. Even saw one walk upon a child who was kicking a soccer ball and order him off the footway onto the road, mind you the guard was still carrying his rifle. Not a good look at all, and this is meant to represent the law and the country??

Very ornate
Feb 2020
The complex was a little larger than I thought. It is very ornate and I believe originally built by the French. Now the home of the Cambodian Royal family. It is possible to view the throne room

Great Architecture
Aug 2019 • Solo
Not much to see in terms of the inside of the buildings but worth a visit for the architecture. I would visit if you have time in Phnom Penh.

Must visit
Jan 2020
Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area however would say it is expensive to enter for what it is. The palace and surrounding royal buildings are beautiful and built so perfectly reflecting the culture and experience of the country.

It really is breathtaking getting to see the beautiful culture of this country and learning about the history.
