Wat Lanka is a pleasant temple located near to the independence monument. It is fairly typical of the wats that you find around the area but has some historical significance. If you happen to in the area then it’s worth looking at.

This wat is absolutely stunning & comes a glow at dusk. Go just before sunset & enjoy the beautiful golden splendor of this temple as the day melts away into blue night darkness.

The eve of the first day of the Khmer New Year. The place was all a buzz like a bees hive. We watched the delivery of the offerings, the plants, we listened as placement was discussed. The spirit was everywhere, the energy lifted my heart....More

The land mines are in remote rural and jungle areas, not in Phnom Penh / Siem Reap. If you go trekking, just make sure you stay on marked pathways. Ankor Wat is in Siem Reap, which I found to be a much nicer city than... More
