It's surely a major tourist attraction, so much of the activities on the river and on the river banks itself.. The constant cool breeze that's there almost all the time is very refreshing. The area now well maintained as compared to those years of the...More

This is actually a very nice spot to stroll along to take in the views of the pedestrian promenade, the river and the various sights across the road (Night Markets, Royal Palace, etc) but very difficult to get to . The kerb from the roadway...More

We thought we would take a nice night stroll, but it gets super smelly at night, not to mention the harassment from tuk tuk drivers. A lot of pigeons, not clean. Not my understanding of a relaxed walk at the river side.

Smelly and over rated. We thought we would take a nice mate night stroll, but it gets super smelly at night, not to mention the harrassment from tuk tuk drivers.

The wind is nice and cooling. It's too bad there are no Ice cream vendors (or at least the time we went there). A lot of drink vendors. There's a long park strip where kids play and older people are doing exercises. It's hectic to...More

As most of Phnom Penh is a moving traffic jam (with no quarter given for pedestrians to cross even at stop signs!) it makes a pleasant change to walk along a wide pathway next to the river. A simple pleasure in the teaming capital. There...More

I took a midday stroll down Sisowath Quay to enjoy the Mekong/Tonle Sap River view. Hawkers peddle their wares and you can have a photo taken and printed on the spot. Not too much, just a nice view. Wear sunscreen.

I have advertently chosen to visit Phnom Penh during the Cambodian water festival (In 2018, it was from 21st-23rd November). Cambodian water festival (Bon Om Touk) is a celebration marking the end of the rainy season on the full moon of the Buddhist month of...More

The lengthy Quay stretches beside the river and is a great place for a stroll or to sit watching the passing crowd and the activity on the river. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby.

A time for walking near the shore with a nice view of boats crossing Mekong River here and there. Many stalls to sell soft drink and food. Simply come and sit or prepare yourself for a good walk. Also you can watch ladies doing aerobic...More
