4 hours bus travel on substandard road with a mediocre lunch thrown in to climb 570 metres then 500+ steps back down and another 4 hours bus travel back to accommodation, I could have spent the day soaking up the atmosphere and shops of Hue....More

walk from main entrance was about 30 mins. Climb up steep walk was another 30 mins. And the beauty is not as beautiful as the Phong Nha cave.
