Lovely place to visit. interesting to discover about Buddhism as once you get to the big buddha there are lots of little buddhas around him that represented different meanings.

Nice, clean and easily accessible from City. Great views, and well maintained. Not as big as other Buddha's in Thailand, but well worth a visit.

Do either. I walk but if you are tired use bike. Plenty of parking spaces ..no problem. Both the areas you mention are worth a visit so go to both.
