A little slice of calm in the center of town, this Hindu shrine is situated on a busy junction. Always teeming with worshippers, it’s a photogenic spot where incense constantly burns and traditional Thai dancers in full costume are often found.

It may not seam so impressive compared to other tourist attractions in Bangkok like the Royal Palace or Wat Pho, but this is definitely one of the most surreal places buzzing with atmosphere. Completely surrounded by luxury mega malls, the BTS Skytrain and advertisements for...More

Small little shrine with plenty of worshippers. If you intend to buy joss sticks and flowers do so inside the shrine as it will be one fourth of the price vs those selling it on the streets. Real nice, simple shrine, part of local life

One of the must see attractions in Bangkok. Watch how worshippers take a moment of spirituality, while the crazy city traffics and skytrains soar by. If you’re lucky (or pay, but I wouldn’t advise that as a non Buddhist), you’ll see some traditional dancing.

Not far away from the big shopping centres, Erawan shrine is a small place full of spirituality. A lot of people come here to pray. It is also the opportunity to see some traditional Thai dancers.
