this was an excellent museum. Small at first glance, but filled with wonderful pieces and our guide was so knowledgeable and discussed each piece in terms of the artistic background but also the history and religious significance. My teens and I were thrilled to learn so much from her. It's set in a lovely hotel and grounds that radiates calm. A must for anyone seeking peaceful learning hour or two.

Not a lot on display but the guided tour was helpful in explaining some of the context and meaning. Easily done in an hour.

This is a wonderfully curated museum and a guided tour is a must when you go here. The gardens of KGH is gorgeous as well for a coffee after the tour. One gets to know a lot about Nepali art culture and it's metamorphosis over the years. Highly recommend.

Canvas paintings are so unique and beautiful with its own importance. It reflects the culture and history of Nepal which I loved the most. Green Tara was my fav among all the painting. The calmness in eye of Green Tara made me feel relax and great that I have got a chance to watch and take a beautiful snap. I am happy that I got an opportunity to visit MoNA museum. Thank you Kathmandu Guest House(KGH) for this wonderful day.

A museum with a fulfilling cause. A great effort to preserve and promote Nepalese art, both traditional and contemporary. Amazing art pieces by some of the best artists of the country. Very fulfilling experience viewing, learning and listening to the tour given by the museum. Blown away.

I visited Mona after the lockdown lifted and was totally gratified that there is a sanctum in the city that teaches you not only the rich artistic heritage of Nepal but also gives you a space to reflect the goodness that still exists in society - passion, dedication, creativity, and above all humility!! The creations that come out of sheer dedication and humility of our artists is another level of inspiration!!!

A must visit place for all seeking to learn new things and to be enriched with the knowledge of our rich heritage

Blown away by the art, presentation, surroundings and personal tour! World class. Perfect afternoon activity combined with relaxing in the gardens and then dinner at the Kathmandu Guest House KGH. Do not miss this incredible gem. KGH Guests enjoy free admission! My teen son was dreading the outing and loved every minute of it! The art is exquisite, relevant (they even had art referencing Covid), and changing every month! Short, pertinent explanations were provided in addition to beautiful background music. And my MONA coffee mug is my favorite souvenir from the trip.

Mona is a sincere effort to take Nepalese Art and Artist on global arena. Nepal has immense potential on its unique form of art which could be a big contribution to the world of art. Nepal has 303 million gods and goddesses which are represented in variety of art forms. The scope of Nepalese Art is limitless. If you feel like witnessing it , DO VISIT MONA for an artistic dinner night out. My family and me really enjoyed it.
