Overview
A highlight of visiting Nepal is catching sight of the highest mountain in the world, Mount Everest. But if you don’t have the time or stamina (or the wish!) to trek there, a convenient scenic flight is an ideal alternative. The flight leaves from Kathmandu early in the morning, to give you the best chance to seeing the mountain in clear conditions. Also check out Everest’s slightly shorter, but no less impressive, neighbors.

Mt Everest scenic flight: I really enjoyed this flight, the crew went above and beyond to make it special. The pilots even let every passenger look through the cockpit windows and would takes pictures if the mountains. The real comparison was when I took a group on Air Guna. Budda air had a better flight path, handed out maps if the mountain range, offer more head space and went above and beyond. If I was offered a free flight with Air Guna I would skip it, I will pay you fly with Buddha air again.

We took the 1 hour scenic flight from Kathmandu. The route was perfect, going up to 8000m, and the weather was terrific. Unfortunately, the plane was entirely unsuited for the purpose: It was a Beechcraft King Air with 8 windows at each side. Every passenger had a window seat. However, this was to no avail: not only were the windows dirty outside, they also completely fogged up when we reached altitude. Impossible to see anything but vague silhouettes. The crew tried hard to compensate for this by inviting everyone - one by one - to come up front to the cockpit to look out the front windows, which were clear. This way, everyone got a glimpse. Summing up, I recommend to check carefully what kind of plane you'll get.

It’s like travelling in a bus or nowadays bus are more on time. Flight is delayed with out notices and no one knows for how long. Looks like they are doing more flights with limited airlines. Please do respect the passengers and their time. Rush looks like hungry for money. Flight date 17/09/2021 Schedule time 1:05pm but god knows at what time they will take flight.

We had already seen the Himalayan Mountain Range and Mt. Everest on the Tibet side with a road tour that took us from Lhasa to the Mt. Everest Base Camp - Tibet. The road tour was very scenic but a very long and tiring drive to get to Everest. The Everest flight aboard Buddha air was a much easier and quicker way to the Himalayan Mountains and Mt. Everest. This Buddha Air flight was booked by our small-group tour company on a very early morning flight - before daybreak. The reason for such an early flight was because of the limitations of the Kathmandu Airport - it is a small airport that is handling a lot of passengers. Many flights later in the day are more often than not become delayed because of all the air traffic that this tiny airport needs to handle. Our tour company had booked the very first Buddha Air flight for this "Everest Experience" flight of the day - that is why we had to arrive at the airport before day-break. Sure enough, our plane had left on-time! On the morning of our flight, we were concerned about not being able to see the Mountains because the sky above the airport was overcast, but no rain. However, as the plane took-off from the Kathmandu Airport, the plane flew above the low-lying clouds and the sky was perfectly clear just above the clouds and the Mountains were very clear and visible - GREAT! Something very unique about the Buddha Air "Everest Experience" flight is that everybody gets a window seat - all the aisle seats are empty. This way everybody gets to have a good view out the window - no hassle for the window view. Also, once past Mt. Everest, the Buddha Air pilots turn the plane around and fly the same route back to Kathmandu Airport - that way passengers on both sides of the plane will have the opportunity to see the beautiful snow-capped mountains. There is a stewardess aboard this flight (no beverage service), but she was their to hand-out a very nice Buddha Air brochure with a map of the Himalayan Mountain range with the names of all the major mountain peaks with elevations that we will see on the flight - NICE! Also, the friendly stewardess stops by every passenger seat to point out some of the mountain peaks as we fly by if you are not able to associate the names of the mountain peaks from the map to the actual view of the mountain itself - good service! Another nice feature about this "Everest Experience" flight, is that everybody gets to go into the cockpit, one-by-one, and see the pilot and co-pilot at work flying the plane along the mountain range - Very Nice! Overall, the "Everest Experience" flight aboard Buddha Air was a very fun and exciting way to view the Himalayan Mountains and Mt. Everest.

My experience at Buddha Air was great from the departure airport to the arrival at destination. Seats are fine and so is the service by the flight attendants. Very quick embarkation and disembarkation. I am looking forward to use Buddha Airlines again. Keep up the good work!!!
