This is the house where Kenneth Kaunda, Zambia's first elected president lived before his election. It's a total rip-off ($15 per person) to see absolutely nothing. An empty house with a closet, a couple of armchairs and a bed. His old Land Rover Defender is...More

When we arrived and saw the small site, we thought we'd only be staying 15 minutes or so. Instead, we were treated to a terrific guided tour (which seems to come with admission, at least if you pay the foreigner rate) from which we learned...More

Experiencing history with a wonderful guide. I was given a free visit when I told the guide that I had worked in Zambia in the early days of Independence. The guide was just absolutely so full of interesting anecdotes and history that you would not...More

Visited Chilenje House on my Lusaka city tour which was rather enjoyable. The House is well preserved and gives insight into a very well respected ex President who influences lives in Zambia to this day.
