I love this studio. I went to Lusaka in May 2023 and again in September 2023. Both times i visited this Gallery. I brought friends with me who also enjoyed it. The curator and staff were all so friendly and welcoming, with stories of all the artists. The little restaurant had great food and the gift shop had some really nice things that I purchased for myself and as gifts. My biggest excitement was a painting that I purchased, the most money I have ever spent on a piece of art. A painting by Emmanual Chibaye, colorful and amazing. The team at 37 D said it would be no problem to ship it to my home in the United States, so I paid for the painting and paid extra for shipping. With excitement I wait and wait. It has now been almost 2 months. I have not recieved my painting. I have reached out to the gallery, many times for tracking, but I get no response. I am so disappointed, and so sad that not only have I not recieved the painting but I also am out over $1000.00

This lovely little gallery is a hidden gem on Middleway Road in Lusaka. You wouldn't know from the exterior, but when you enter, you are greeted with walls of exquisite modern art. I was impressed by the playful nature of much of the art, and especially enjoyed sitting with a delicious cappuccino by an ancient jasmine bush. This gallery is associated with the stArt foundation which seems to do good works. The adjacent Jagoda gem gallery is also magnificent with its collection of quartz, tanzanite, aquamarine, tourmaline, garnet, emerald, amethyst, citrine, etc. I was reminded of the amazing mineral room at the Harvard Museum of Natural History, Just standing there in the peaceful gallery makes one ponder the tetrahedral structure of the silicate building block that forms so many gemstones. The entire space is a fantastic experience for art lovers in Lusaka.

37D Gallery it's a must! The gallery gathers paintings, photographs and ceramics from local and other African artists. The gallery also displays beautiful precious and semi-precious stones and gems and jewellery. The atmosphere is cozy. There's a bar and restaurant also.
I recommend a visit. But, prices for the art are salty.

This was a highlight of our outings in Lusaka and one where we snagged a stunning piece of art that now in the featured piece in our sitting area at home. The 37d gallery helps local artists gain the attention that they deserve -- and the majority of funds raised go directly back to artists. Sure, you can find art much less expensive in the markets, but few so unique or stunning. Plus, this pays the artist for the medium and materials that they use.

Artists are often on site and so you can usually learn directly from one or two people who are working during the day.

It is easy to meander around and take in so many diverse artists.

There is an onsite cafe. Though it looks like it offered gourmet meals in the past, it's current menu is limited to cookies, wraps, salads, and wine, tea, coffee, and other beverages. The food is delicious and the wrap I enjoyed was made of the most delicious roti bread.

Next door there is a specialist jewelry store. If you have a lot of time in Zambia, they can make custom jewelry for you. You can also select a gemstone and design a piece around.

Not in the art or jewelry market, there is a beautiful crafts and artisans store or you can pick up prints and cards. And you can just go to admire and appreciate.

Lovely setting. Ordered some lunch then wandered around looking at the art. Highly recommended! The art changes every 2 weeks, so no two visits are the same!

37d Gallery was the highlight of our visit to Lusaka. We fell in love with the space, the staff and the most amazing art. It is also such a lovely space where we could enjoy our afternoon cappuccino in a lovely open garden setting. Last but certainly not least, the jewelry on display is remarkable - the most beautiful gems in creative settings - and at such reasonable prices.

This gallery has an excellent selection of well-curated Zambian art, plus art from adjacent countries. There is also a fine shop selling jewellery and gemstones which is worth visiting. Highly recommended.

Love this place. Lots of interesting art that changes frequently, so you can go by often and see something new. Friendly staff who will talk with you or leave you alone, as per your preference, the staff are eager to share details or answer any questions. I love to bring friends and family here whenever I’m the area. Really, all galleries should be like this.
