Perhaps the most popular beach on the peninsula. 30 minutes from the western area of Freetown (avoiding traffic at Lumley). Beautiful beaches, but watch the current as the river joins the ocean, and can pull down the beach on a strong day. Restaurants and bars...More

Ideal place to spend some time on a Sunday outside Freetown. Crowdy but not overcrowded, lots of 'business' people trying to sell without being annoying, good seafood, endless sand beach: what more can you ask for?

Although it may take quite some time for food to arrive, you're among beauty and the wait will not bother you. Gorgeous beach, great food, long wait, but friendly staff.

Relaxing and enjoyable. Changing rooms could use upgrading. Nice shallow area for small children where waves will not push them over.

Not easy to get to unless you have a driver who knows the way. The access road is bumpy dirt road full of potholes. It's all worth it! The beach is lovely. You can get a wooden table with wooden chairs and an umbrella to...More
