We took a 2-days Gorilla trek in Uganda's Bwindi forest leaving from Kigali (RWA). it was a great experience from the communication with the Gorilla Cousin team, to the booking process, to the pickup at the agreed upon date and the trek itself. The guides were very knowledgeable, led us through the forest to the gorilla families and made us feel safe and look after all the time. the overnight stay at the lodge (mid range) was very comfortable. Highly recommended!

I was using Gorilla Cousins last year for a trip to Rwanda doing the Gorilla trek and a day at Akagera and after that great expierence I decided to go back to Rwanda and just spend more time at Akagera National park this time. Once again I had Elias as my guide and it was just great to see him again and the service we got was fab. We spent 5 days at the Ruzizi Lodge and as a special treat stayed in the tree house for the last night. WOW that is all I can say! It was a boyhood dream to stay in that tree house. Akagera is a fab place and we saw lost of animals not all big 5 but at least 3 of them. The wonderful thing about Akagera is the fact that it is not yet overrun with tourists. It has not got as many animals as maybe some other places but the overall scenery and beauty of the place makes more then up for it. I could not have wished for a better place and better service. And if you want to know about birds then Elias is your man. When we saw some birds he had his book and would say just look at page such and such and there it was. He made that trip something else thanks so much. One thing is for sure we will be back

We took a three day tour with gorilla cousins. We started with a very sober tour of the genocide memorial in Kigali. Truly heartbreaking but necessary to understand where Rwanda was and how amazing their recovery and healing process has come in less than 24 years. We then journeyed to Nouringo lodge above the mist. Such an incredible place and then started on the most arduous trek of our lives. It was worth it to be with the silverbacks. Finally we checked into a stunningly beautiful hotel gorilla mountain lodge in Rwanda to trek to the golden monkeys. All the while our excellent guide Elias was with us teaching and explaining the ways of Rwanda. You NEED to book this company and have the experience. The only thing we would do differently is do the trek on the Rwanda side next time as it is less difficult but you still need to see Uganda too

This was my dream trip to see both chimps and gorillas in the places where two women scientists did their research. Gombe National Park in Tanzania is particularly difficult to get to, but Jonathan did an excellent job making sure that everything went smoothly. Since Rwanda and Volcanoes National Park is one of Gorilla Cousins' main tours, I expected the same there. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The trip was saved by my guide, Elias, who managed to switch a couple of my activities in order for me to make my flight out of Rwanda in time. I highly recommend Elias and thank him for a great trip.
