What an amazing trip, the Damaraland’s walking trail through rugged landscapes and geological wonders. The guide, Chad, was one of the highlights sharing his insight into the region’s unique flora, fauna, and cultural history. This trail is very well managed and expertly planned, and safe for all who partake. I highly recommend this excursion.

What a privilege. 9 days of pure happiness walking and connecting with nature. Waking up each morning to walk in the dark before the heat of the day. Delicious breakfast waiting for you en route before setting off again to walk along the river and immersing yourself in the birdsong, the majestic giant trees and the remote, wild surroundings of the Kunene river. Spending each afternoon lying in the shade, reading, dozing, listening to the birds, or finding a flowing rock pool for a dip. Incredible scenery, delicious food, comfortable tents and bedding, kind caring organised crew and great hiking buddies. I did not want the hike to ever end… I will be back!

My first experience of Namibia, it was extraordinary! Chad and his team of lovely guys gave us a wonderful opportunity to walk in the wild and remote area from Ruacana Falls to Epupa Falls. Mobile campsites were comfortable and well organised, the meals were delicious and the quiet gentle rhythm of walking in the darkness before sunrise will remain with me. Thank you Wild Cherry - I’ll be back to explore other areas of this beautiful country.

We recently walked the Kunene Camino with a lovely group from Ruacana to Epupa Falls. I didn’t want to stop. Early starts along the gravel road, allowing us to experience the sunrise daily as we walked. Breakfast at 8am en route on the river edge, and then a meander along goat tracks to our next camp. Hot afternoons spent snoozing, swimming in river pools, playing dominoes, before sundowners and a delicious dinner under the stars. Our destination at Epupa was like an Indiana Jones film set… cascades of waterfalls, giant baobabs and palm trees. Chad and his team of Uno, Simon and George looked after us and directed our journey, coping with some sand challenges for the vehicles, but managing! We were invited to contribute towards basic foodstuffs which were given to the local Himba people as we moved through the various villages along the route. All in all an experience I’ll never forget.

What a beautiful hike this was along the Kunene river from Ruacana to Epupa Falls. Once again supported with so much care by Chad and his competent team. We were spoilt and cared for beyond belief. I would highly recommend Wild Cherry Adventures and doing one (or all!) Of Chad's caminos. I had a wonderful time. Thanks to all.

We were showered with blessings everyday. Food, camps, vistas, the beautiful Kunene River, sleeping outside under the stars, interacting with Himba people, senses overloaded with colour, texture and shapes. A gentle rhythm to the days. Inspiring people. A truly wonderful experience

I did the Damaraland Camino. It's a great hike for a first multi day hike. The walks a manageable for new hikers, and the landscape is extraordinary and varied enough to keep experienced hikers on their toes too.

George, Steve and Uno set up stunning camps each night. The delicious food, comfortable stretchers, and camp made for a real glampining experince. Great value for money.

Thanks Chad.

The Damaraland Camino was incredibly well organised. Every day you're spoilt with three warm and hearty meals, a practically set up camp, and friendly help.

The walking was manageable and took us through different dreamy landscapes every single day. We walked in the cool of the morning and got to see stunning sunrises.
