Kaokoveld Camino: 220km adventure at its best
This was a once in a lifetime off-the-grid adventure, with different incredible views every day. The vast, harsh red ochre landscapes, mopani trees, mountains on the horizon, the incredible sunrises, and sunsets, walking the dry riverbeds and meeting the Ovahimba people, elephants, and giraffes. All these made this an unforgettable experience. We started this amazing adventure as a group of five strangers, women from 50 to 80 years old, meeting Chad, and his team Uno, George, and Stephen. They provided full support and backup for the 16-day trip, four days travelling from Windhoek to Puros and from the Kunene River back to Windhoek, and 12 days of walking an average of 18km a day. Chad and his team treated us to three meals a day, seated at tables, set up camp and moved our luggage along, effortlessly. They also looked out for us and made sure we did not get lost. We just had to walk, which we did from early in the morning till lunch time, when we rested and laid back in the camps. Our meals, in the middle of nowhere, included a variety of cooked food, fresh veggies and fruit, and even a cake for the 80th birthday. A big thumbs up to Chad who even sorted out his technical challenges with the vehicles, without any drama. I am ready to book my next adventure with Chad in Namibia.

A fantastic "in the wild" experience.
The walking tours are wonderfully designed for self reflection, meditation and relaxing. It is relatively easy hiking with beautiful scenery and landscapes.
The food is wholesame and delicious. Perfect for solo walkers/travellers as well
as a family experience. It is tailored for introvert and extrovert alike
Chad is a superb host, all round great guy with a heart of gold.
great value for money and with new walking tours all the time, the experience is different each time with the same touch of magic.
"Highly recommended"

So, just completed a 5 day / 4 night 75km Skeleton Coast Camino
offered by Chadmanwalking from Wild Cherry Adventures
Starting at the vast Messum crater all the way to Cape Cross Lodge, with an optional 5km hike at the Spitzkoppe included.
The hike was mostly flat with a maximum 62m Elevation gain.
The terrain was relatively easy to hike through, the beach sand on the last day can be a challenge, but you can walk further up from the beach
On the harder parts. We saw some huge Welwitschias, lots of jackal and hyena tracks on the beach and seals at the optional Cape Cross Seal reserve.
The weather was refreshing and it was a blessing as the heat we experienced in Spitzkoppe hit us like a sauna.
The nights were a bit chilly but Chad had lots of extra blankets.
A warm jacket should be considered as it got windy.
Chad is an wonderful caring host that travelled up and down with us, making sure each of us were safe.
We were 9 hikers walking at various paces, some briskly walking along and some stopping to take beautiful pics that I am
So happy to be able to share with you.
The food was world class from braai to steaks to potjie, ribs, chicken pasta beer bread fresh veggies and fruit, oats
You name it.
3 filling nutritious meals a day.
Spitzkoppe was such a lovely treat the final night and if you can still manage to hike, the scenery is absolutely stunning
We managed a good 80km in the 5 days and all the walking was done by lunchtime
Afternoons was a great time for reflection, midday snoozing, reading or whatever you feel like.
Its your camino, your time, your pace, your adventure
This is my 3rd hike/camino with Chadmanwalking and everytime it just gets better and better.
I look forward to the Kunene Camino next year (2023)
A little bit of previous hiking experience does go a long way and you will just enjoy it so much more.

Our trip was properly organized. From the shuttle picking us up from Windhoek, meditation 🧘♀️ yoga, the walks... the beautiful breakfast on Saturday morning among the nature and rocks... Chad just helped me be able to use the walks to connect with myself and nature. Ellen - she gave me the experience of a lifetime doing my first Headstand and just a great Yoga experience. The food was amazing. We were a group of 12 including a vegan, vegetarian and meat eaters and they made it all beautiful and delicious at every meal. The Yoga retreat felt like we were visiting friends. They catered to out every need. IT was really a beautiful experience . We are definitely planning on a "Camino" with Chad.

I just recently walked the Kunene Camino from Ruacana Falls to Epupa Falls, 150km of absolute bliss.
Chad and his team, George, Steve and Uno were absolutely fantastic, we had 3 nutritious fresh plentiful meals per day, even pan cakes, bacon and eggs, and dessert on some days. They did everything, all we did was carry our daypack with snacks, water etc ( I didnt even finish all my snacks because I was still full from all the meals) relaxed in the afternoon, swam, explored, read with no city noise, just birds chirping and vervet monkeys watching us from the trees.
Comfortable tents and matresses were provided
The walk was absolutely beautiful, we started before sunrise, kept on the road till breakfast and afterwards we could walk freely along the riverbed meeting back at the road at a certain time.
It is my 4th walk/camino with Chad at Wild Cherry Adventures and each time he exceeds my expectations fully. Fun, professional, organised.
A must do for one on one connection with nature and yourself. Will recommend Chad and his team a thousand times over!

We had a GREAT time exploring Namibia with Chad at Wild Cherry Tours. The trip was well organized, the food was great, and Chads experience and expertise were much appreciated. We had a great time climbing the dunes and watching the beautiful sunrises and sunsets over the stunning Namibian landscapes. Chad made sure we all had a great time and a lot of fun.

Had a really great time on the Damara Camino. It was very chilled, had plenty time to relax after the morning walk. Chad was a great host with his awesome assistants who made it all the more special. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who just needs a break from it all. Will do this again for sure.

The nature itself around Brandberg is breathtaking: incredible sunsets and sunrises, the view of the massive Brandberg from all kinds of perspectives, quiet environment, a lot of tracks of wildlife and we even saw the desert elephants on our last day walking.
Chad and his hardworking staff are amazing! They do everything, so that you feel fine, safe, comfortable and at home. Service-delivery at its best!
We got up quite early, so that we could hike in the freshness of the morning. Breakfast on the way was always the highlight of my day! The food that they can serve in the remoteness was very delicious! Chad has a very interesting life story, he is a professional guide that knows a lot about nature, wildlife and Namibia and he’s perfectly organized.
All in all, it was a mindblowing experiance in a very positive spirit, a perfect 5* adventure! Thanks a lot!
