I've been to Maputo 3 times and it's never a dull moment. Sure is not a world class city, but the people are great and welcoming, and it's always fun. Definetly one of the best cities to party at.

Interesting tour. It seems that it could have been a bit more developed. Maputo still seems to be in the early days of developing tourism.

We did not feel safe in Maputo. The traffic was a mess. People just drive the way they want, and we have to watch every car to see witch direction they are going and also not be be involved in a accident. lucky nothing happened....More

I had the worst experience in this city, hotels were in dodgy locations yet so insanely expensive. ship tours are a nightmare, tourist are not considered as important because they don't speak Portuguese. communication was a huge problem. people who work in ports and malls...More

Tour guide was friendly, welcoming and extremely knowledgable. Mozambique has such an amazing history. The craft market has loads of goodies for shoppers, the train station has plenty of goods for sale eg:veggies and fruits,as well as hairpieces etc...
