It is situated near the Le Caudan Waterfront , walking distance from the mall area. A very nice full of stamps and its history associated with Mauritius is displayed here. You learn a lot and school going kids will love this place.

The stars of this museum are of course the blue and orange stamps from the 19th century. To protect them, they are illuminated for only a few minutes each hour. But despite the museum's name, it covers the history of Mauritius, how it was populated...More

The Blue Penny Museum looks very nice and there is no doubt in my mind that a lot of Mauritian tax money went into getting it in shape and keeping it nice. However, whilst I checked that the last tour today was at 16:30 and...More

This museum is a must do in Port Louis since it’s known for the famous stamps. But it offers way more: a very good exhibit about the History of the city and the history of mail services throughout the history.

Be aware that the stars of the show are only on show for around five minutes every hour, so make sure you ask when you go in. It’s a nice museum, but not sure it’s worth the price.

It was a remarkable visit: we arrived very late and commonly they refused entry because even being a small museum it takes time. They advised a “reduced” tour which allows us to see the “crown jeweils” of the museum. Other information about the museum you...More
