Been there with the Vertical World team. Was an awesome experience. Can be classified under high thrill adventure. The team is very friendly and ensured all safety measures are taken from start to finish. As you approach to the top, there are breathtaking views and...More

This mountain is visible from almost all central-north routes, it looks very unique because of face like top. Haven't done the hike on this but you can stop on the highway and click some good pictures of it.

I would definitely recommend this hike to anyone looking for a hard and off-the-beaten track hike. I have hiked it a few times now and have never come across anyone else out there. There are many guiding services offering the trip, but if you are...More

I last got to the top of Pieter Both 30 years ago, making use of iron rungs set into the rock to get past the trickier bits. Whilst I’d gazed at it many time on subsequent visits to Mauritius, I’d not made a serious effort...More

A majestic peak with a tale of its own that people will love to tell. The ascent is not the easiest so find a well seasoned guide. It is not recommended to attempt climbing the head of Pieter Both as it is a rock formation...More

One of nature's tricks. Just remember that the rock at the top is balancing there! The mountain is visible from most of the south west, and it's worth a trip to walk/climb as high as possible, but take plenty of water and be aware of...More

Nice history attached with this mountain. I won't spoil it here but do research. Love hiking there. Again the environment felt pure and fresh. Nice.

The approach to this funny shaped mountain is messy - dense undergrowth (especially in the first 50m), mud and then some wet slipperry rock. However, the upper part of the route is quite interesting (need rope security) and the boulder "head" on top is quite...More

you can hike and climb up the top of the mountain through Vertical World ltd. (www.verticalworldltd.com). It will usually take you a full day and some places you will be roped up. The trail up is nearly at 60 degrees at places with a few...More
