Our tour guide was very knowledgable, which made a big difference to the experience. I don't think the trip out there would be good without a guide. We learned a lot about Basotho history.

This really needs to be advertised and sign posted properly. We drove up and down the road a few times before we found the entrance/parking. It cost a few maloti for the permits and we were advised that a guide wasnt necessary which was correct as the path was very well marked, and there were information boards at all the... More

The cultural village combined with the mountain area provides a very nice owerview about the history and culture of Basotho people. I expected a little bit more of these, but definitely a place worth to visit and ask for a tour guide if you climb the mountain

Be sure to obtain a local tour guide from the tourist office at the roadside shop above the convention center, hotel, and demonstration village. For 40 Rand (Malotti), a tour guide will give you the full story and tour of the founding MoeShoeShoe Kings I and II who are buried in a grave yard at the top of the mountain.... More

Be aure to hire a guide from tje tour office for 40 Maloti and have an enriching tour of an hitorical village site where the founding kings are buried. Is a safe, but strenuous climb , allow 2 hrs to see all parts of the actual village the first king founded and see the original Basotho nountain that gave the... More

The site is not signposted clearly, in fact it's understated, which is surprising for a site of such national significance. The hotel and conference centre are beautifully landscaped, and the cultural village is a must if you are interested in learning more about the Besotho people. It's a shame that tourism in Lesotho isn't being promoted much, given that the... More

If you would like to understand and know the history of Basotho you should visit this area of Lesotho. To be honest, I did not really enjoy my day there but it is just my personal experience.
