The National museum of Ghana is an important tourist attraction. We recommend it especially for those embarking on educational tour. But it is quite unfortunate that the museum is currently closed indefinitely due to an ongoing renovation.

I was lucky to get the services of a tour guide who is on site. Listening to her give the background to the pictures and artifacts definitely made this an interesting and enjoyable visit. Had I just gone around on my own, I think I...More

We stumbled upon this museum as we were on another outing. Though things are not yet perfect here it was a delightful experience. I think we will take friends when they visit next month

To be honest, my experience here was disappointing. I have visited many museums globally, but it was hard for me to tell exactly what was being showcased in this one.

Aside the old relics found in this national museum there is so much history to dig out. For those still in their youthful years my piece of advice is for them to pay a visit to this place. There is a narator/tour guide to send...More

I know you have to adjust expectation to where you visit but this is very poor. Don't bother visiting. The gallery was closed when I visited but you can tell from other exhibits it is a national embarrassment

The museum was closed for renovations when we got there, but someone still allowed us in to look around. There was no work going on. There was barely any artefacts on display. The building is extremely small. Hardly museum quality. They said they would be...More
