African Americans should take this trip. Much to learn and see. Many of our ancestors came thru this port. May be surprised to know your family line may run this country.

Drum beats and thumping sound of feet drew us to this place. As soon we got down from the car, we saw a troupe of traditionally dressed dancers dancing to heady drum beats...truly as African beat. We also shopped around for African masks & other...More

Really Nice collections from original artists like carvings, paintings, fabrics and hand bags etc., but hawkers are there as soon as entered the market.. Must be an expert to bargain.. Felt slightly higher side prices..

You will get mobbed as soon as you arrive, but just keep walking and they start to leave you alone. Most of the vendors start out with a pretty high price. Divide their initial price by 4-6.

The hawkers will not leave your side and they will make sure you visit every shop. But they are good people. Make sure your negotiate a lot before buying. I suggest start from 50% of the cost.
