It’s a very small museum but some of the exhibits are really fascinating. There are some very nice dance costumes and masks. It’s absolutely necessary to have a guide to explain each piece. There are no written explanations. I hired the guide at the museum...More

Great place to find rich cultural heritage of Gabon. We learned a lot from the friendly patron who could speak a little English and managed to get through most of the exhibits.

Just ridiculous, considering the richness of gabonese culture (let's remember that Fang's art inspired European artists such as Picasso...). You must be lucky enough to find a "special exhibition", otherwise the museum is a display of a bunch of masks and other objects, with no...More

Interesting little museum (don't expect the louvre...) good selection of masks and traditional Gabonese costumes. Almost no explanations on the walls or in the masks (and only in french) so get the guided tour. People complained about the tour guide, the one we got was...More
