My husband and I recently visited the Mokolodi Nature Reserve for an afternoon of game driving and cycling. When we arrived the receptionist said she could see our 900 pula payment in the computer but not 'how it was supposed to be used'. So she made us pay for it all again! Very disappointing. We did the mid-length cycle (white)... More

Great little park the mountain biking is brilliant, with loads of sweet single track to enjoy good game spotting from the bike

I was in RSA for a few weeks and decided to drive over to Botswana to visit Gabs and the surrounding area for a day. I chose Mokolodi as it made most sense being right outside the city. The reserve is easy to locate right off the main highway and offers some decent services to see rhinos and other game.... More

Nice reserve in Otse (near Gaborone). Has animals except lions & leopards. Beautiful scenary. Has a Braii there along with native singing & dancing. They also offer a Rhino Trek & Cheetah encounter but I didn't participate in those activities.

We often go to Mokolodi as it's closest nature reserve in Gaborone. Of late we have found much fewer game and with the recent rains the roads are very rough. A 4x4 is a must if you do self drives. Some parts of the park (further south) is not very easily accessible as the roads are not in good shape... More

Went there recently it's seriously a disappointing experience concerning the game drive in the reserve for the 150 Pula, we barely saw animals for the couple of hours we spent on a really rugged route.

Mokolodi is the closest reserve to Gaborone, the capital of Botswana. The guides are probably the most friendly I got from the Game Reserves I visited and their education program is so enlightening. In my visit I couldn't spot that many animals but had the chance to see the magnificent Kudu. I think is a great place to begin your... More

We saw a few animals, lots of impalas and kudus and 2 giraffes. We had been really looking forward to seeing rhinos, 2 of which I had once seen about 5 years back. The safari was super bumpy. Expect to either have neck or back pain the next day. Overall the experience was ok considering the cost.

If you are in Gaborone and have half a day to spare, drive to Mokolodi which is just outside the city limits when you are driving to Lobatse. It is a poor cousin of the more famous reserves of Botswana and has a few animals. There is a old dark resident Giraffe whom you cannot miss. Herds of impala are... More

Mokolodi Nature Reserve is a private not-for-profit game reserve in southern Botswana. A prefect wildlife sanctuary including Rhino and Giraffes .
