I took a group of Family and Friends to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe February 2020. This trip was coordinated for over a year with Tendai Maganga who works for Shearwater. Tendai assisted me with hotel reservations, all of the tours and was an excellent coordinator. Each of the tours recommended were most exciting and very enjoyable. The tour guides she chose for us were well prepared and provided us with all of the information required to learn about the Continent as well as how to get the most enjoyment from each event. Each member of my party expressed high regard for Tendai and her overall professionalism and enthusiastic interactions with us. I recommend Tendai, if you have need of an excellent person to help you coordinate your visit. GP Tolbert

We were a group of friends from the United States that booked several excursions through Shearwater. Tendai our coordinator was awesome! She has such a beautiful spirit and genuinely loves her job. She made our vacation a memorable one ensuring that our family and friends enjoyed the multiple excursions we booked through Shearwater. The excursion to Victoria Falls was great. Our guide Kali was fantastic! He made sure we got the best views of the falls, and took his time to explain the history and various facts about the falls and Zimbabwe as well. We didn't feel rushed at all. Kali made sure we took as many photos and videos as we wanted and of course, took photos of our family and friends which we will cherish for a lifetime. Kali also took some of our group to a village to see how the local people live in Zimbabwe. My wife and I didn't attend this particular excursion, but our friends had nothing but great things to say about the village tour. Next we went on the Chobe River and Game Drive excursion. What a day! Kali collected us at our resort and brought us to the Botswana border where another Shearwater team member escorted us to the Chobe river cruise. Six, our captain greeted us with warm beverages and homemade "cookies" to start our adventure. He made sure we safely got up close and personal with elephants, hippos, crocodiles and water buffalo. After a lunch buffet, we went for the game drive with Stan. He ensured that our drive was exciting and stimulating as we moved along the bumpy paths in search of more wildlife. The Lilac Breasted Roller is one of the most beautiful birds we have ever seen. There were also many opportunities to see the impalas running to and fro across plains. As our friends took the village tour, my wife and I took a hike up to the Batoka gorge with our guide, Tom and Prince our driver. Both gentlemen immediately made us feel welcomed to their beautiful country. We took the 2 hour hike (you must be in reasonable shape to do this), to the views of the gorge which were breathtaking and worth the hike. Tom is extremely knowledgeable about the trees and life along the gorge. In fact, since the tour we have heard two of the birds and we still think of the way he told us we could identify their calls. After our hike, we were driven to the Ndebele village were we visited a local farmer and his family. Tom translated for us as the farmer explained the rural lifestyle as we sat inside his living room dwelling. The finishing touch, Prince prepared a meal for us, which we were not expecting - very delicious! Prince, AKA Chef took care to present our lunch with elegance and style as we sat on benches at the farm. The day was humbling, very rewarding and educational. Tom and Prince were both amazing! My wife and I also had a private night game drive on the Stanley Livingston Reserve which was also orchestrated masterfully by Tendai. Wow, what to say...Michael picked us up and we started off to the reserve. He was determined to show us as many animals as possible. We saw waterbucks, buffalo, black rhinos, giraffes, zebras so close we could almost touch and mighty elephants covered in red clay to name a few. Even if we had not seen any animals, we still would have had a remarkable experience because Michael set the tone. We came to a spot by the Zambezi river where Michael set up some delicious "bites" and snacks while we watched a zebra family of three. We shared a toast as the sunset over the river. Soon enough we were packed up and back on the move to spot more animals. The night culminated in an intimate lantern lit dinner for two in the wild. We felt so special and the memory will forever be in our hearts. Hats off once again to Tendai for connecting us with the best of the best guides and drivers during our visit to Zimbabwe! Whenever we return to Africa, Shearwater will definitely be the company to book our excursions!

We booked some trips through VictoriaFallsguide.net and they in turn facilitated the various bookings with the different providers, two of which were with Shearwater: the guided tour of Vic Falls and the flight of Angels Helicopter ride. Well organised tours, super friendly staff, so professional. Will most certainly book with these guys again when next in Victoria Falls. Anyone considering booking a tour through them can rest assured, their service and attention to detail is impeccable! Well worth it. On a side note, if you do find Victoria Falls Guides.net on the web and want to book tours through them, go right ahead, it takes the pain out of trying to do individual bookings, and their organisation is seamless, co-ordinating everything with the individual tour operators for you. Not one of the tour operators we were booked with were late in collecting us or dropping us off at our lodge. Most of them will pick you up at your lodge and have you safely back there after the tour.

This was an epic trip to celebrate my niece's graduation. The tour guides was great! We had a number of activities on that date and we were picked up promptly after zip-lining. The tour guide was great as my niece likes to take pictures. He was great at making sure her pics met her expectations. The Falls was spectacular and we were given ample time to enjoy our visit. The views are breath- taking! The Tour guide for the Falls was very knowledgeable. We also, had a fantastic experience on the elephant safari. It is great to know that the elephants are treated with compassionate care. Our rider took care of us and we enjoyed interacting and feeding the elephants. Overall, a fabulous tour and I hope to do it again!

We were so impressed by Shearwater's professionalism and all they had to offer during our stay in Vic Falls. We booked a sunset cruise, a helicopter ride, and a guided tour of the falls through this company and were thoroughly pleased with all the activities! The sunset cruise included alcohol & snacks. Our waiter, Oros, was hilarious and we loved talking to him. Samue gave us the tour of the falls and he was very informative and patient taking pictures of us even though it was so hot out! I can't recommend Shearwater enough!
