On a pre Covid visit to Elephant Walk we bought a large 80Kg plus carving, of significant expense from Goodwill Rhouna, who is based at the back of the complex. Despite the worldwide disruption to International freight and some domestic issues over subsequent months, Godwill, and his courier Hoko Mahomad of Ship alot freight made their very best efforts to get my goods shipped and kept me informed on progress, until I received the Carving some several months later. When pre paying for goods in Africa it's clearly a concern that they may not arrive. Perhaps this note will provide some confidence to other travellers

A short walk from our hotel, the core Elephant Walk market is an artists market with lots of uniques sculpting and art pieces. The art itself is more expensive than the stuff you see around town but more unique. We sat at a courtyard cafe for a late breakfast and it was very good and reasonably priced. Beautiful area and gentle people.
Surrounding the entrance and behind the official market are countless other art stands that have the usual fare. Also beautiful art that is brought in from sculptors and artisans in Zimbabwe villages. The story is to barter. Name your price you are willing to pay and be willing to walk away. All the stands have the same things. But do buy some things even if small as it helps support the community. The sellers are very kind and gentle although it can be overwhelming to be approached by so many vendors.

Great place for window shopping, or shopping shopping. The prices are different than outside, but you are not going to experience pushy shopkeepers. The selection is rather diverse, something for everyone. There is also a wine tasting store and a small restaurant at the back for refreshments. It is impressive to see the creativity all around you. Well worth leaving your hotel for the short walk there.

It is a path characterized by the fact that during the route various art galleries are established, the peculiar thing is that most of them expose a good part of their works to the elements which makes the visit interesting, you can find everything from large sculptures to small representations for the memory.
It is relaxing to admire them and take photographs, in this aspect my comment is positive, since unlike many places where they prohibit you from doing so, here you have freedom in doing so.

Enjoy Victoria Falls because: LIFE...is a JOURNEY!

We left the hotel where we stayed in Zimbabwe and went to this beautiful art park while walking in the evening. Handmade wood and stone carving products made here were distributed to the whole of South Africa. Magnificent products were exhibited and sold in this large art park. We bought souvenirs.

This place is a mix of local artisans and high-end pricey shops. Be prepared to be harassed by the local artisans trying to guilt you into being theu first sale. Woukdbt recommend this shopping area if you are in a tight budget.

Good Day. I am perturbed to hear that some of the local artisans at Elephant's Walk try and 'guilt' you into making a purchase and we will discuss this with them. We pride ourselves on having the best artists in their field, but also for a visitor to have an enjoyable and hassle free visit to our village. There should be no pressure and visitors should be allowed to enjoy - whether they buy or not. Thank you for taking the time to give us a review and for pointing this issue out.

We enjoyed the artistry in the stores and vendors and ate lunch at the courtyard cafe. We were very comfortable and walked through the small museum gratis. It was a leisurely experience at the end of 4 days in Victoria Falls and a nice summary.

If you are looking for a quality local crafted souvenir/gift then this is the place. A handful of local craft, quirky items and art shops with exceptional items. You can browse with no hassle, and maybe slightly more expensive than others, however you pay for quality.

This was our first stop in Africa so we weren’t in buying mode because we were going on safari with limited luggage allowance. We were very sorry we didn’t buy anything. Several shops had very beautiful things, in fact, the nicest we saw on our entire trip.
The market is low key, easy shopping with some very high end merchandise and some with souvineer quality stuff.

Small shopping centre, nice range of shops selling authentic goods such as clothing, wooden souvenirs. Cafe in middle sells cold drinks and snacks.

Stall sellers are persistent bordering on harassing particularly the ones as you enter and leave selling the wooden souvenirs.

Not our thing, but may appeal to others who like shops

Thank you for taking the time to review us and we shall definitely have a word with the small market sellers in our courtyard as they are there to interact with visitors in an enjoyable and hassle free way.
