Setting out from Kasane, Botswana, we went on a day trip to Vic Falls through Wild Horizons (and their Botswanan sister company African Odyssey). We were helped at the border with the visa process and then had a guided tour of the falls with many foto opportunities and a lot of questions answered. After, we had lunch at the Wild Horizon Lookout Cafe, which offered great food and an even better view of the gorge. There are plenty of adrenaline rushing activities on offer at Wild Horizons (rafting, helicopter rides, gorge swings and more) but we didn’t try any ourselves. Special shout-out to our driver and guide Happy!

Without a doubt, the most professional rafting crews I have paddle with.. on the premier river in Africa (World?) Creto (Colgate) is virtually without peer as a raft guide: professional, technically excellent and screamingly funny. Calm under pressure, he and Gerick (safety kayaker) made sure we had the most incredible rafting trip down Africa's premier whitewater... For those interested, they will share the history of the rapids and key lines.. but otherwise plenty of discussions of the natural history and geology of the region. unforgettable.

Unbelievable experience. My wife and I did this trip, it required a decent level of fitness, nothing an average level of fitness can't handle. Our guide, Condry AKA Beast, was unbelievable. I can honestly say that I've never had a tour guide as talented as him. Beast knew the river exceptionally well, had an incredible knowledge of the indigenous wildlife and kept us entertained the entire way. There was not a single moment that we were not entertained. Would definitely reccomend this adventure to everyone.

Wild Horizons worked with Bio Bio Expeditions (our connection in the States) to create a wonderful trip that included white water rafting on the Zambezi (and those guides are SIMPLY AMAZING), as well as canoeing and stays in 3 of the most beautiful lodges I’ve had the pleasure to rest my head in. The people with Wild Horizons were helpful, efficient, NICE and most importantly, VERY VERY GOOD at their jobs. White water rafting? These guides had it under control. Canoeing on the Zambezi, with hippos and crocs around? Never thought these guys WOULDN’T get us out safely. The experience here shows.
