We booked a day trip to Chobe through Wild Horizons and it was excellent! We were on the fence about booking at first since we spent 5 days on safari in South Africa with amazing sightings and were afraid of being disappointed. However we are glad we decided to book this trip. We had lots of great sightings and the landscape is totally different from what we saw in South Africa and is really beautiful.

From the beginning the transfer through the border was smooth, we were picked up from our lodge and then transported across the border to the Mowana lodge in Botswana. From there we boarded the boat for the river portion of the tour. We saw many hippos, some crocodiles, a few Fish Eagles and many other birds, some buffalo, giraffes, etc. But the highlight of this portion in my opinion was seeing herds of elephants crossing the river, it was really amazing to see.

After the river safari we were dropped back at Mowana for a lunch buffet. The food was good and there was a large variety. Lunch included one free drink (Wine or liquor is extra but beer was included). After the one hour lunch we were transferred to the vehicle to begin the game drive. It was a short drive to get into Chobe. We again saw many many elephants and extremely close. It is the closest we have gotten to an elephant. We also saw some groups of giraffes, zebras, impala, kudu, baboons, and a couple young male lions!

Transfer back took a little longer as many in our group needed to buy visas back into Zimbabwe but it was still a smooth process. Overall highly recommend a day trip to Chobe and Wild Horizons did a great job facilitating the tour.

We did a few different tours/experiences with Wild Horizons. First, Francis picked us up at the airport, and due to a delay with our flight, took us directly to Victoria Falls and gave us a private tour! I learned we were supposed to be on a group tour, but because of our time constraints, Wild Horizons accommodated us with a private tour. From there, Francis took us back to our hotel to let us check in and freshen up before he transported us to our sunset Zambezi River cruise. This was fantastic! We saw so many elephants and other wildlife, watched the sunset, and enjoyed delicious snacks and drinks. The next morning we went to the Elephant Sanctuary - this was a highlight of our trip! We walked out to the bush and met the elephants. We were able to touch them and feed them. Then upon return, we were fed the most delicious English breakfast. It was such a memorable experience. Thank you to Wild Horizons and Francis for an amazing first stop on our honeymoon!

Ashley, social worker staff from WH supported me while I visited one of the primary schools. I am so grateful of how she assisted me in meeting the school principal, teachers and students. This is one of the services provided by WH, connecting the travelers with the community.

Thank you so very much to Wild Horizons for making our excursions at Victoria Falls an absolute breeze. We had Wonder as our tour guide as well as our driver and he definitely added to the whole experience of why Victoria Falls should be on your list to see.

We received so much history on the country as well as a lot of friendliness from the staff and locals.

Please be sure to use Wild Horizons on your next trip to Zimbabwe.

Thank you again to Wonder for your professionalism / information and kindness during our stay.

On Sunday, September 10, my wife and I spent a wonderful day with our guide "Happy" from Wild Horizons! First "Happy" took us on a walking tour of Victoria Falls and did a great job of telling us about this magnificent wonder of the world! Next he took us on a tour of the town of Victoria Falls and to have "lunch with a local" named Margaret. After lunch he took us back to our lodge to rest and clean up. Later in the evening he took us to the Lookout Cafe for a great meal with a stunning view. After dinner he returned us to our lodge. Happy had a long day, but he was gracious, informative and we felt very safe with him! Thanks Happy for a great day!

Our travel operator hired Wild Horizons to transfer us from the Kruger National Park to the airport where we flew to Zambia. Wild Horizons then collected us at the Zambia. Airport and drove us to the border and helped us with Zimbabwe immigration. Another Wild Horizons van from Zimbabwe then picked us up and drove us to our Victoria Fall's hotel. The pick up and drop offs were seamless. The drivers were safe and timely and all went on without a hitch. However, I must call attention to our driver in Zambia, Charles. Charles collected us from the Zambia airport and took us to the Zimbabwe border. He had the immigration forms ready, filled out the info re our Victoria Fall's hotel and had us fill out the rest. When we got to the border we sailed on through immigration. There was a large group of Canadians ahead of us who did not have such detailed service from their transfer operator. You needed address and phone number of the Zimbawe hotel and since there was no internet connection at the border, they had to go back to their van to find paper documents. As we were going through immigration, Charles was taking care of customs for us so that it took a minute for us to sail through customs. The poor Canadians didn't know which windows to go to. It was a hot day, the room not air conditioned, it was starting to get more crowded and we were so thankful to have Charles who had the fore sight and knowledge re what was needed for the border crossing. A long hot hour of confusion was avoided because of Charles and we were in and out in minutes.

We used Wild Horizons our first night for a Zambezi River dinner cruise. This was a great experience and the staff was welcoming, provided great drinks and food. We saw our first African animals on the cruise including Elephants and Hippos. The only downside was once the sun went down it got pretty chilly in the wind...but this was winter in Africa so to a certain extent to be expected. On a side noteBill, our transport driver from the lodge to the cruise managed to set us up with a side day trip to Hwange Park when we could find no other way to get there. Just an example of how helpful the staff was....and this side trip even though long (2.5 hours drive each way) managed to get us our first views of Lions and Leopards, filling out our Big 5 before we even got to Kruger Park!

Wild Horizons picked us up at the Livingston Airport and took us on a private tour of Victoria Falls on the Zambian side. It was wet and wild and wonderful. (pack water shoes). Then they took us to our 12 minute Microlight Flights. Definitely order the video of your flight since you can't take photos yourself. Well worth the modest price. They then drove us to the Victoria Falls Hotel where we were staying. The next day they took us on a private tour of the Falls on the Zimbabwean side (equally beautiful but less wet), and that evening we did the Sundowner Cruise on the Zambezi River with Wild Horizons. It was a beautiful cruise with cocktails, swimming elephants, lazy crocodiles, funny hippos, and a beautiful sunset. The last day they took us to the Airport for out flight to Cape Town. Sorry I mostly took video so these few photos don't quite capture it.

Our driver and guide was Stanley (of course). Stanley did a great job and even recommended we have dinner at Mama Africa's, which was stellar local family food and a short walk from our hotel.

On a recent safari vacation, we used the transfer services of Wild Horizons several times during our comings and goings between Zambia and Botswana. In all cases, the drivers were both professional and friendly, offering information about what we were seeing, helping us navigate the border crossings, and helping me not to panic when I thought I left my passport behind somewhere! They arrived on time (or early!), the vans were clean and comfortable, and water was provided. I recommend them and would happily book with them again on a future trip.

I would not recommend this company. I made 2 bookings with them before arriving in Zimbabwe on -line for their restaurant and walking tour.

The representative at the hotel when we arrived said he had reconfirmed my bookings but it took him nearly an hour to do this, when I already had the written confirmation with me. He didn’t seem to know who to contact, what their number was and it was as if it was his first day.

In the morning our guide did not turn up, once again the representative struggled to contact anyone and couldn’t find our booking - once again I provided my written confirmation and said it has been reconfirmed only the previous day.

We are still sitting in the hotel waiting for them to arrive.

They asked if we wanted to book any other trips with them - they must be joking!!!
