I am trying to get hold of Thetford to make a booking. Mobile number does not work, and there is no email contact - what do I do! I have been before, so was able to rate it, but now I want to take an overseas visitor again.

We stayed a night in one of the lodges (very nice, great views, well-equipped, comfortable) and did an afternoon game drive. The Thetford staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. The game drive was incredible - we must have seen a few hundred animals, from a dozen species. There are few predators at the reserve (we saw none), but that didn't... More

Three generations from 1 to 60 in age had a wonderful afternoon game viewing, watching the rhino being fed, and soaking up the atmosphere of this idyllic place

This was by far the best safari we did during our trip. Upon our arrival we we welcomed with a cup of tea/coffee and biscuits on a lovely terrace with a view of the park. During the game drive we saw several giraffes, eland, wildebeest and the most impressive - rhinos. The best part of the safari is being served... More

We were welcomed with hot and cold drinks on the veranda before the game drive. We were a large family group with young children and both drivers were very accommodating. We saw giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, impala and more. Both Colins were very patient with children and their many questions. We had a very civilised break mid drive with a drink... More

Such a treat to have such an amazing game drive available within an hour of Harare! I took my young kids and we saw giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, impala, buffalo and more. Of course the highlight was watching the rhino being fed - such a privilege to watch it! Colin our guide was super with the kids and took the time... More

What beautiful countryside and to see these magnificent animals at such close range was unbelievable! Thank you Colin for your informative talk on all the animals we saw - such a special treat for us and the grandchildren.

We met Colin, our guide at the main house after being through imposing double electric gates at the entrance to Thetford. Guards taking our names. Make a reservation beforehand so they are expecting you Colin brought us not a wonderful room, with tea and other beverages and a selection of cookies to begin our adventure, and it was the perfect... My brother and sister in law invited us to Thetford for the day on Saturday and what good choice they made. Our ranger Colin Shepherd was exceptional in every way. He was knowledgeable and informal and quickly set us at ease . We had a small group of about 8 people and Colin was most gracious and entertained us with... More

Fresh air, amazing game drives, beautiful dams and very comfy accommodation (self catering) - just 40Km's from Harare. Camping sites are available. The perfect place for a smallish intimate wedding, anniversary, or just a get together. Well worth a visit.
