The beauty is gone. No more blooming flowers. The grass was so dry in July if one dropped a lit cigarette the whole garden would be an inferno. I found it depressing as I knew it then during its hay days.

Yeah, it could be a very very nice place for relax and walking with green grass and old trees. Unfortunately in real grass is more yellow than green, place is little dirty , patchs are destroyed. Harare is very safety city with friendly people and Im not affraid of thiefs but propbably this garden is only 1 place wich You shouldnt visit at night.

Once a great hang out spot for the young and restless. Now a dumbing bin for everyone who passes by. Grass is not being properly maintained and everything has been neglected.

Great place to spend some time on a bench in the shadow in hot Harare ! Ideal for people watching while enjoying the lovely trees that are all over this (quite small) park

The Harare gardens are hardly worth a visit. The playground and gardens are dilapidated and hardly maintained.

harare gardens was one of the most relaxing places to sit down and have a quiet moment, the grass used to be green, vegetation well cared for and managed, now it is brown and unkempt, bald patches of earth are visible where the lawn used to be. Its not what it used to be

The gardens have had their heyday and are somewhere between untended to okay at this point. But it is a great place to see local Harare folks relax. A nice change from the downtowny 70s lane it skirts. The ketchup carrying snack providers will come round and are quite sweet natured.

You can see that with a lot of care this could be a piece of paradise in the middle of a bustling CBD. The toilets need care, the greenery needs love and while there are still areas like around the theatre and the bowling alley that remain beautiful, this needs work
