- Joanna M1 contributionA 5* Wildlife Experience for a good cause! It was definitely an experience of a lifetime as we got to interact so closely with the animals - Giraffes, Zebra, Elephants, Lions, Pangolin, Hyenas, Kudus, Wildebeests and Impalas. From our reception with Sean and Christine all throughout the tour, everything just flowed smoothly for us as a group of 10. They graciously accommodated my elderly aunt who required the use of their electric scooter to get around. The food, beverages and hospitality team were excellent both at the High Tea and at the end of the day. Sean and Christine are true gems, they were so patient and kind and really took cake of our group, they facilitated my Dad’s birthday cake and the few late arrivals. We truly appreciate their hard work and professionalism. Angela facilitated our booking so seamlessly and swiftly responded to emails, even past working hours when we had a sudden increase in numbers. We will definitely be back and recommend Wild is Life to friends and family! 10/10Dear Joannam thank you for choosing wild is Life to celebrate your dads Birthday and thank you for the 5-star review. we look forward to welcoming your Family back to Wild is Life.Written 12 February 2024This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 11 October 2023
- E R. Toronto43 contributionsLoved my visitA beautiful place to visit. I was on my own but joined a group and we fed giraffes, met the young elephants, saw lions feeding, antelope of all kinds and the biggest hit, meeting a pangolin. We were served an excellent high tea and then at dusk, canapés and sparkling wine while the giraffes, antelope and baboons browsed on the other side of the fence. I made friends with Noodle, a friendly wildebeest, and scratched her behind the ears for a long time. They do wonderful work with baby elephants and other animals and it was a great way to end my visit to Zimbabwe.Dear ER839 Thank you for Visiting Wild is Life, noodle loved her head Scratches and making friend with you she looks forward to your next visit.Written 12 February 2024This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited October 2023Travelled soloWritten 4 November 2023

- Marios GlykasNew York City, New York249 contributionsWild is life & zen"I had been to the same place in 2017, and my experience was excellent back then, just like today. I visited it again on December 20th because I simply love knowing that wild animals live freely in their natural environment, protected from other animals and us humans. If you ever visit Zimbabwe, don't miss taking your family and kids there. You'll simply love it. The people working at this park will explain everything about the animals' lives if you ask. May God bless them, and continue to share your love as you do."Dear Mariosglykas Thank you for 5-star review and Kind words we look forward to hosting you again soon.Written 12 February 2024This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited December 2023Travelled soloWritten 24 December 2023

He gave us our own private tour of the reserve, what an incredible place they have created. We spent a great deal of the afternoon sat in their newly built guest room in awe of the animals. Its amazing watching such a variety of animals all get on in on space. I can't recommend Wild Is Life enough. - Kathrine3 contributionsHave a wonderful day while supporting great animal rescue and rehabilitationAmazing animal sanctuary to visit. So many different exotic animals, all rescued and well taken care of. Nice staff and guides who share interesting information and stories about the animals. Got to see an amazing pangolin, feed a pregnant giraffe and watch elephant babies having their milkbottles. Also got a delicious lunch in a charming cafeteria with a terrace overlooking the animals out in the field. Costs some money to enter, but so worth it! And happy to support the great work this place does to improve animal welfare.Thank you so so much Kathrine for your wonderful review of your visit to Wild is Life! - Sponti1 contributionTea Cups & Elephants!Wild is Life was a great experience. What we enjoyed the most was the information provided during the tour. Not only do you see the animals in the sanctuary but you get detailed information about the species and even tips on the do and do not if you encounter them. The high tea is scrumptious and very varied in offering. Our toddler enjoyed playing at the kids playground as well, Highly recommended and worth the drive.Thank you so much for your delightful review of your visit to Wild is Life! We are so glad you learnt some new and useful information too :) Our playground is a new addition so we are pleased to hear it was a hit with your little one. We visited wild is life last week, with our toddlers. The Sanctuary is beautiful, and very well kept. Highlight was by far the pangolin. However your guide was unfriendly and not at all accommodating to us with our toddlers, it almost seemed as if she was annoyed with us. I was quite disappointed with this part of your sanctuary as I find it very important that the new generation and generations to come learn how valuable our wild life is, something I as a Zimbabwean and mother is trying to instill in her children. Please rather have an age restriction if your staff finds small people difficult to deal with.

Dear Rina,
Thank you so much for taking the trouble to write a review of your afternoon experience with us.
We are so sorry that you did not feel that your children were not well received at Wild is Life and ZEN. Education and the teaching of compassion for wildlife is a core function of the work that we do here. Every year we welcome approximately 2000 underprivileged school children to Wild is Life, ensuring that they are able to enjoy their natural heritage and learn to treasure it. As you rightly say, educating children about wildlife is critically important, so we thank you for bringing your children for this experience.
We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed meeting Marimba the Pangolin, who holds a very special place in our hearts, as well as that of our Nation.
We thank you Kindly for the support that you gave us by visiting the Sanctuary, as our guest visits are extremely important for the funding of the work being done in rescue and rehabilitation of injured and orphaned animals.
Warm wishes

You can really tell how much the team at Wild Is Life care for the animals there. I'm always so cautious about going to animal sanctuaries because of the bad apples out there. But this place is genuine with their love for the animals and their rehabilitation goals to release some of them back into the wild. The hosts are so kind and the property is beautiful. I really couldn't think of anything bad to say about this place, even if I tried! If you had to choose one place to go in Harare, it should be here. PS. You even get to meet an adorable pangolin!

We really had a wonderful time and of note it was so amazing getting to know that the oldest known pangolin so far in Africa is under wild is life care. Kudos for that.
Just as a compliment, thank you so much for the work you are doing rescueing all those animals and taking care of the animals till they are ready to go back to the wild. May your work in the sancuary keep growing bigger and bigger because we certainly have more animals which need such care.

When we arrived and our guide told me which side of the path to stand on for the first viewing (I won't spoil the magic), I was convinced this experience was not for me. However, his motives became clear and the whole afternoon and the interaction with the animals and the beautiful surroundings made this experience an absolute delight.
Maybe I drank a little too much Champagne at the close of the afternoon, but that's probably due to the incredible spectacle of the end of the tour.
Reviews can sometimes be overhyped but take it from someone who usually reads them but rarely writes any. This is an experience worth the money and more, much more.
A dedicated team looking after some beautiful creatures makes for a truly breathtaking experience.

Absolutely and utterly delighted with the Babies of the Wild is Life animal sanctuary . But then feeding the Giraffe comes a close second, and then ......in fact everything. The welcome , brilliant tour guide, food fabulous amazing diversity of healthy animals who are happy to be where they are . It reminds us how important conservation is here in Zimbabwe. So respect they ethos on rescued animals and the reintegration in the wild if possible.
A must if in Harare for visitors who are short on time . You will not regret it.

Where do I begin?! I had such a pleasant experience at Wild Is Life. The tour was very intimate & detailed. The stories of the animals made me fall in love with them. The highlight of my tour was meeting Kadiki the elephant & his friends and Marimba the pangolin. The sunset is to die for & was so gorgeous with the jacaranda trees in full bloom in the backdrop. The ambience and aesthetics are just perfect. I would highly recommend visiting Wild Is Life! We really appreciate the work that the team is doing to rehabilitate the animals 🫶🏽

We loved our afternoon visit to Wild is Life last week. We particularly enjoyed learning about your elephants again and gorgeous Marimba the pangolin from your very knowledgeable guides Christine and Sean. The snacks and champagne at sunset were truly special and, overall, the service was spotless. The venue was wheelchair friendly and my elderly uncle got to see and experience everything along with the rest of the group in his wheelchair. We will definitely come back! Asun & Andrew.

Is it safe city ?

Hi
Most of Harare is very safe - safer than most big cities. Stay in Northern suburbs generally. Be sensible and safe like any city. Wild is Life totally safe, near the Airport
