It had rained earlier on but we heard so much about the beach we had to see for ourselves. I thought we were prepared with our footwear but not so. Flip flops and water shoes are not just it, you need hiking shoes because it...More

Fun to get to a beach through a hike. It had just rained, and the hike down to the beach is steep, so good shoes and a bit of patience is necessary, but once you get down to the beach, the sand is soft and...More

We went on a dry day, the path is steep but doable! It would be difficult after a rain. If you pick a dry day, you have to go here!! POWERFUL waves, just breathtaking. Not a swimming beach. This is to sit back and watch...More

Pretty little hike with tons of flowers to get down to this beach. The water is bright blue and you can see the lighthouse! Perfect beach to post up for the day with food and drinks. The water looked pretty intense when we were there...More

Had a terrible time getting to this beach. Pathway is muddy and extremely slippery. The mud here is more greasy than on mainland. Then when we finally did find it it was so full of people you couldn’t enjoy it. As other reviewers have said,...More

Ok first of all, the name is highly misleading as it appears there is nothing “secret” about this beach. On the day we went, there were lots of people there. Not complaining because there is plenty of room. Getting to this beach is the real...More

A lot of people talking about the trail down to the beach here. Luckily for us it was dry, and as such the trail was fine. I can definitely imagine it is slippery as hell if it's been raining though... The beach is beautiful and...More

Had read about it, heard about it. Morning we went (to avoid any crowd) was misty/wet. We started down the pathway, which started out great. Oh, a pair of surfers drove up before we left the parking lot and warned us (it might be muddy)....More

Getting down to Secret Beach was as much fun for me as the actual beach! I'm 55, and semi-fit, and didn't have a problem. The day we went was quiet muddy. But, the mud added to the fun of getting there! I felt like I...More

It’s a bit of a hike to make it to the beach but it’s well worth it. A few things to note: - The hike down to the beach can be a little slippery. Be sure, to wear shoes that you can hike in -...More

I had great difficulty finding it at first, because there are two Kalihiwai Roads, and initially I went to the wrong one. If you're on the one with signs to Ahnini Beach and Kalihikai Park, then you're on the wrong road... More
