I would recommend visiting for only a $10 fee, there are beautiful views of the lighthouse and you will be able to see birds, geese and possibly whales. It's a tourist attraction, but there is also helpful staff who will take your photos and answer...More

I am blessed every time I come here. I bring family here every time I visit. You are able to see Albatross, several Tropic birds, Ne Ne's, whales and some amazing views. You can also sign up to tour the inside of the lighthouse. That's...More

Skip it! $10 admission to the refuge. Nice views, but, if you've seen a lighthouse before, it just doesn't matter. Ocean views are available for free all over the Hawaiian Islands. Do it if you must, but, if you miss this "attraction" you haven't missed...More

A very enjoyable walk to stare at the sea, cliffs and to bird watch. Literally you can spend hours wondering around watching the birds and looking over the cliffs.

This is a good stop if you like seabirds, lighthouses, or scenic views of the ocean. All can be found here. If you are going to be at the north end of the island to visit Hanalei or Princeville, I suggest a stop. The grounds...More

I wish to go up the lighthouse. For $10 per person, we should be allowed to climb up the lighthouse. However there is no such luck that day, on a Monday at 10am. A couple of trails leading down were closed. Nonetheless the view from...More

The lovely Daniel K. Inouye Lighthouse built in 1913, is in the Kilauea National Wildlife Preserve. The Preserve has a nice visitor center, great ocean views and lots of birds. Lighthouse tours are available. High on a cliff the lighthouse looks out to the Pacific...More

Great place to watch the waves crash and to enjoy the scenery. If you have a National or State Park pass there is no fee for entry. You do need to walk from the parking area to the lighthouse but it is wheel chair accessible...More

Although the point is moot as I write this, the park is operated by the Federal Government, so it may well be affected in the event of anothershutdown. The site's phone number is 808-828-1413.
