Found this after work on a business trip to Mauna Lani ... made my whole trip with wildlife, gardens, walking trails, outdoor opportunity within steps of the hotel and conference location. Close enough to visit on lunch break too.

Good parking with washrooms and fountain. Easy assess from condos. Path is paved. Interesting stops with lava tube and cave. Go to the fish pond where you can see lots of fishes including big eels.

This walk is on a mostly paved pathway in the Mauna Lani resort area. It's wonderful in the morning when it is not too hot. It goes over lava fields and contains the remnants of an ancient lava tube home. There are historic fish ponds...More

This was on our way to look at the turtle pond at the Mauna Lani and we all left happy that we came. As the kids had recently watched Moana, they got a kick out of all the lava and the walk through it. It's...More

We parked at the park to walk over to Mauna Lani to go snorkeling. This is the place they tell you to park at and do the walk over. The only interesting thing about the park is the big cave/lava tube that they say was...More

Well done historical walking tour, free, helpful descriptive pamphlet. Free parking at the site. The location itself is stunning.
