Actun Tunichil Muknal Cave Tour and Picnic

261 reviews
Step into the world of the ancient Maya on a tour of Actun Tunichil Muknal, hiking and wading deep into a series of tunnels, chambers, and passageways. Support from an experienced cave guide ensures a safe trip into—and back out of—the maze-like cave network, where you’ll find the "Crystal Maiden," the crystallized remains of an ancient ceremonial victim.

What an awesome opportunity to check out some local art and meet a talented artist for some one on one tuition. Rick was nice enough to provide all the necessary equipment as well as some helpful and encouraging advice for me to paint my own picture. I'd definitely recommend a visit for some great conversation and the opportunity to view some pretty unique and original art. The world could use more places and people like this.

Great small local art studio. We always strive to visit local artisans when traveling and we were so glad to find this gem of a place. It was especially nice seeing the local artists working right there on site, this was the only place in town where we found that and we could interact with him and really appreciate his work. The also display other local, talented artists so the landscape of the interior seems to be ever changing. We stopped by on a different day and they were getting ready for a live performance that evening. We were very impressed with the variety of art they offer.
