This caving excursion is for the ultimate caver. This cave is only accessible by via tour companies. We went with Hun Chi'ik Tours from San Igancio. The cave takes expert cavers about 3 hours to tour and inexperienced cavers 6 hours. Althought it is a...More

This cave adventure is not a sight-seeing tour. This is full-on cave exploration. Unless you are a spelunker, you’ve probably never done anything like this before. It’s physically challenging. It’s dirty. It’s dangerous. It’s AWESOME! We booked through a third party vendor and they did...More

As a person who considers herself physically fit, I always love a good challenge. The thing about Crystal Cave is that although it is a physical challenge (yes you will be free climbing, crawling, and making your way deep into the cave with no assistance...More

We were told that we needed to be prepared mentally and physically for this caving experience but that it was also worth it. It definitely was mind blowing. We started at the early hours of the morning and tracked up the jungle to the opening...More

This was beautiful and so much fun. After days of hot humid excursions, spending some time in the caves was a welcome reprieve. Highly recommend. We had Miriam and Nancy as our site guides and they were incredible.

This beautiful cave is a truly unique experience. It is not too challenging though it can be a little claustrophobic. For the adventurous, it is an absolute wonder. With a proper guide, you'll learn all about Mayan sacrifices and geological formations. And unlike ATM, you...More

A true caving experience. Physically challenging, but not overly so, that will leave you in awe of the beauty of the cave. Make sure to wear clothing that you don't mind potentiality ruining.

We had a guide and went down deep into the Crystal Cave! It was a very cool experience, very dark, quiet and damp in the cave. There were times where we needed to squeeze through cracks and crevices. Bring spare batteries incase your lights go...More

If you thought ATM was physically challenging then Crystal Cave is not for you. If you want an adventure without the crowds, seriously consider this challenge! There is mud, crawling (or sliding) down narrow sharp passages, no security ropes, while using only your headlamp and...More

If you like adventures this is your cave. A little blindsided by the 45 min hike through the jungle to reach the cave entrance left me exposed to the mosquitoes. Bug spray is a must here. The guides Miguel and Selwin were fantastic and provided...More

Did the guided tour as a couple with a guide from Belize Inland Tours. It takes about an hour to hike to the cave entrance through the rainforest and then you descend into the cave system on an extremely challenging hike. Using only the light...More

The passages at Crystal Cave are no comparison. Some of them are narrow enough for an average sized person like me to have to take her small backpack off to climb through. There are no tunnels or passages in ATM that you... More
