This cemetery is considered 'full'. It is located between two busy streets, close to the Old Anglican Church. There are no trees or other shade, so a visit in daytime will be hot! Not sure whether a visit at other hours would be considered 'safe'.

The historical area of cemetery was very vast. and I did feel peace and also the respect for the beloved people who may rest in peace.

We drove past/ through the middle of this cemetery on our tour bus to get to Lamanai. It was a very unusual site to see a cemetery in the middle of the road. Like majority of Belize, it is a little run down and unkempt...More

Very moving sight to see the burials in the median of the road. The mangrove swamps requrie burials above ground. No usable ground is wasted.

I know I know, who reviews a cemetery? I was very proud to be at this cemetery, the words left to honor these persons who have passed on were heartwarming.

Yarborough Cemetery is a piece of history that needs a little attention, the cemetery has a lot of history to offer but it has somewhat been neglected. It's a story that needs to be told and can be an added part of any Belize City...More

The Yarborough Cemetery is interesting from a historical perspective but, unfortunately, that is all. I ran by one morning, visited a couple of the grave sites, then moved on. If I was researching historic figures and families (genealogy especially), I would love to know about...More

If there are still black iguanas in the area AE Nash, I wasn't fortunate to view any during my visit - bear in mind it was the height of the afternoon... They must have been hiding from the sun while we were enjoying the... More
