This very small monument is on the sea front road linking The Radisson and Ramada Hotels. If you're not looking for it, you'll pass by very easily without noticing. A small Maya like tower in the centre of four cannons. Not much else.

We drove by it a few times last weekend and thought it was ok, but nothing special. Right on the water, and interesting to look at.

Very neat monument on the path to town. We stayed at Princess hotel, instead of using a cab, we walked to the restaurant . This was at thehalfway mark to our restaurant.

Beautiful location and a nice monument. Not a whole lot to be said. A quick visit. Not something I would make a special trip.

Interesting plaque, nice photo op as you walk the shoreline drive in the evening or morning. Not really necessary to make a special effort to see this.

It is not worth to look for the monument. It is pretty small and nothing special. You might see it if you go to the Celebrity restaurant.

Hans Bhojwani has his name on the 'monument' and the promenade in multiple places. Not sure if you can call the 'Independence Monument' an attraction - it's just a piece inside a roundabout. And someone has to tell you it is supposed to be a...More

This is an interesting monument in the middle of nowhere. We went by because we missed the turn to the Museum of Belize. There is a sidewalk but, other than that, the area is undeveloped and there is no other reason to be there. As...More
