- Melissa SAnn Arbor, Michigan82 contributionsPerfect souvenirsThis is a cute little shop and a great place to buy gifts to bring back home. Everyone loves chocolate! The bars are buy 3 get 1 free and there are many varieties, including vegan coconut milk chocolate. They also have body products, beautiful truffles and baked goods. We stopped on our way to the airport (they open at 8:30) and they were a little slow getting opened, but I'm not always at my desk exactly on time either!Visited March 2023Written 9 April 2023
- Frequent skierSeattle, Washington6 contributionsLearn about the history of chocolate!Enjoyable 1 hour "experience" with the owner who explains how chocolate is made from the growing and processing of the cacao beans to the chocolate bars we enjoy, as you sample each step. Nice family experience and break from diving adventures all week. Location is nearby lots of great restaurants as well!Visited April 2023Written 11 April 2023
- GeneralShamuNew York City, New York1,114 contributionsWorth Every PennyFor any chocolate lovers, this is a must visit location while on the island. Once you try the delicious chocolates, good luck not wanting to come back a second time around. Ensure you immediately head to your hotel with whatever chocolates you do buy as you have a 20 - 30 minute window max before they melt significantly enough to impact the ultimate taste of it. We summarily returned to the hotel and put it in the fridge/cooler within the room. Parking available outside for golf carts and they take credit cards beyond 20 BZ$.Visited June 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 25 June 2023
- Steven WSatellite Beach, Florida9 contributionsToo expensive onlineFantastic class and great learning experience. Do not purchase online. Was annoyed to arrive and see sign out front that said $25 BZ when I paid $50USD before arrival online. Would be okay if you are offered a credit on merchandise but that wasn't the case. Definitely a must do but pay when you get here.Visited August 2023Written 1 August 2023
- Jrtm2014Seattle, Washington296 contributionsBest souvenirs ever and darn good with a view. This is a great little shop for some fun, souvenirs. Cocoa powder, cocoa soaps, chocolate tea. But they're true superpower is there chocolates they have so many fun flavors. My favorite was the chocolate and coffee combination followed by the peanut butter chocolate. Note this is not a Reesie's peanut butter cup. In fact, it taste totally different. Great gift to bring home to everybody Also enjoyed their chocolate milkshake, which is more like frozen hot chocolate. Surprisingly good.Visited December 2023Travelled with familyWritten 2 January 2024
- SM_travelbugStroud, United Kingdom33 contributionsExcellent chocolatesGiven it was too hot to buy and take the chocolate (although with a cool bag, which they also sold, you could) we bought 5 individual chocolates to eat there. Flavours were lime, passion fruit, banana, coffee and chilli. They were excellent! Just a hint of the flavours, not cloyingly over sweet, well worth the stop. If you like quality chocolate as opposed to the mass produced stuff do go in and tryVisited January 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 27 January 2024
- roermoblHampshire, United Kingdom97 contributionsChocolate classThe chocolate class was really interesting and informative, and there were several opportunities to handle and taste the ingredients/chocolate at different stages. The shop allows you to build your own box of different flavoured chocolates. Delicious!Visited February 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 16 March 2024

Delicious chocolate on the island! It’s definitely a must stop if you are a chocolate lover. You can buy a box of chocolate from their display case, the dark chocolate cashew was delicious but they also have small bars with a ton of flavors and the price is great!

My brother and I took a chocolate class with Chris, and it was hands down the best bang for your buck experience in San Pedro! The class was only $25 BZD and lasted about an hour where Chris walked us through the process of making chocolate, let us try grinding up the chocolate ourselves, and then did a tasting not just of the finished product, but every step of the way. The chocolates at the store are superb in quality (and a little more expensive than I'm used to, but still cheaper than Godiva and Lindt and far superior). They made great souvenirs traveling well in the heat, and we tried some great truffles and pieces in the store. My favorite was the Mayan Temple.

The chocolate was a big hit for our trip. The staff was friendly, and the chocolate was amazing. Everyone was willing to share what they picked out even insisting on it. If you stop in San Pedro, you must stop here.

The first thing we do when we land is get a Chocolate Milkshake from BCC. There actual chocolate is good too. But the milkshake is almost as good as great sex.

The Belize Chocolate Company was a hit for our family. We thought the prices were a bit steep, but that may be the price you pay for a storefront on the beach. Our kids each got a six-piece sampler and my wife got a brownie.
We'd recommend coming here as an alternative to desserts offered within restaurants in downtown San Pedro.
We did not do the chocolate-making class.

Nice air conditioned shop with a few tables to sit while you enjoy your chocolate. They had freshly baked chocolate chip cookies that were scrumptious. Prices high but not outrageous. Also had other merch for sale.

Stopped in to try a few samples and ended up buying four pieces of chocolate of different flavors. The Kahlua chocolate was my favorite! Definitely worth a stop if you are in town!

We made sure to stop by the Belize Chocolate Company on our day in town. They had plenty of different chocolate options, each of which were delicious! Their raspberry chocolate tart was amazing as well! We made sure to grab extras for our friends as souvenirs, which they loved as well. Make sure to spot by for all of your sweet tooth needs!

My wife and I had a lovely time in this store. The store had a lovely aroma, the staff were so relaxed but kind. They let us stay and use the facilities and Wi-Fi. We loved the chocolate strawberry milkshake, very reasonably priced and delicious!
Great experience, would return again!

Hi, we do not currently offer a tour but do have a chocolate making class. This is conducted on the deck outside the shop and takes participants through the chocolate making process from the cacao farms in southern Belize to grinding and processing here on the island. It includes lots of tasting, samples and making milk and dark chocolate during the class.

Do you provide tours to show how the chocolate is made?
Written 7 May 2015
It's actually a small shop, not a factory. They serve many chocolate items. Well worth a visit.

What is the dress code for the restaurants?
Written 21 February 2015
Very casual in general. Be comfortable and you'll be fine. If you check out their website if they have one, or their tripadvisor profile, you can get a feel from the photos. There are a few that you can dress up a bit if you want.
