Tide was in, wind roughed the water surface, couldn't see much--a few fish in the shadows of the mangroves and a very interesting shrub with bristle-covered pods.

I love the viewing center. People miss so much if they don’t wear polarized sunglasses. When you wear them, you can see all different kinds of fish in the water. Makes a much more enjoyable visit.

A lovely p,ace with knowledgeable guides who willingly share info. We saw the beginnings of manatees migration and met THE Tampa Rays in their habitat. And the whole thing is free!

Unfortunately we only saw one manatee but the weather was warmer than normal. The lady in the gift shop was very friendly and gave us good information. Would go back later in the year if in the area again.
