- Keith R73 contributionsI don't think I'll returnPA system is way too loud for a sporting event. Concession selection is limited, especially on the 2nd & 3rd levels. Even considering the venue and that we attended a pro sport event, the concessions were way over pricedVisited February 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 11 February 2024
- Jarrod BDunedin, New Zealand259 contributionsEverything you'd expect from a venue like this.Went to a Washington Wizards game. Venue was easy to find, entry was straight forward since we read the email explaining no bags etc. The insources had everything you would expect and we clean and tidy as were the toilets. Finding our seats was easy enough, we had 400 level seats, it's pretty high and steep up there, so be warned. There was a giant screen near us so we didn't miss any of the action and got the replays clearly. Exiting the venue could not have been simpler. I've been to many events where leaving is an absolute circus, but not here, we were out in no time.Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 30 March 2024
- CoachK2525Dedham, Massachusetts1,360 contributionsGood downtown DC spot for an event/game.Good spot for an event (we did Bruins Caps hockey). It blends very well into neaighborhood for a 20K arena. Good sightlines and even in upper level felt close to action. Prices typical of any arena. Would go to another game/event here if in area.Visited April 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 22 April 2024
- MsKieshaAlexandria, Virginia2,788 contributionsGreat experienceI came to the arena for a WNBA game and had a really nice time. We were sitting in section 107-M so our view and seats were great. The staff were very helpful. The vendors were really good and diverse as well. The seats were surprisingly comfortable, so overall I had a really good time. The parking structures were pretty close, there is one directly across the street and another is right around the corner and they were pretty affordable. I will definitely return for another event.Visited June 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 6 June 2024

We had a decent experience as far as getting in. We were concerned when we realized the line was so long and we were blocks away from entering and we got to venue almost an hour early. However, once the venue opened the lined moved quickly and staff was prepared to get people safely through security rapidly.
The low review is because the sound quality was so poor. We attended the Jimmie Allen and Carrie Underwood concert. Mind you we were in section 415 but were unable to understand anything they were saying or most of the words to the song. I hoped it was just a flaw when the DJ was trying to entertain before show started. After Jimmie Allen started and we could understand nothing I was ready to leave. However, my daughter had been looking forward to this concert so we stayed.
I seriously wish I had brought air pods as to play the song in them as they sang so that I could at least get somewhat of a concert that sounded right. The acoustics were awful.
People around us made jokes as to it was more like watching Charlie Brown and the teacher say,"waaah...waaah...waaah.." But were also quite disappointed and just left. Very unfortunate that tickets are even sold for these seats when the qualilty is so poor.
And due to the lights and such there was limited visibility to see the screen behind the main stage and from my seat we could not see the small screens on the side of the main screen. Just a huge disappointment all around.
Not impressed with the venue for a concert - at least not in the upper section but maybe it wasn't as bad below. It would be nice if they did not sell tickets to those that do not have good sound quality.

Capital One Arena's ill-publicized, ill-executed "no bag" policy is an absolute scam. Charging venue goers $13 on top of already exorbitant event & concessions prices is a great reason to sign up for NBC Sports & just watch events from the comfort of your own home. Whoever thought forcing visitors to download the "BinBox" app for the privilege of overpaying for unnecessary bag storage should be fired on the spot. The arena's general cleanliness & above-average crowd control don't make up for this dereliction of duty in providing a positive customer experience.

Capital One Arena... in the Capital of the USA. You just can't make this stuff up. Had a fab evening watching the Wizards in action.
One of the door staff got a bit aggy at us for no reason so make sure you sit in the right seat for the game...
Drinks are pricey but we kept the cup so that kinda makes up for it a little bit.
Food is also bad quality and over priced as expected. Highly enjoyable evening.

Went to see Mary J Blige at Capital One Arena and my experience was horrible. First off, we couldn’t get into the arena until 6:40pm. Once inside we couldn’t sit down until 7:45pm. Promotion says that the concert was to start at 7pm. Imagine fans getting really upset at this point. Queen Naja came on a little after 8pm did about 8 songs. The set the stage for Mai but now show. Took additional 1 hour to setup for Mary J Blige. It’s 10:05pm and most of the fans tried giving Mary the benefit of the doubt however, 4 songs in and she wasn’t even trying to sing. Fans were singing basically now this is a sing a long concert. This is what I didn’t pay for. I left at 10:45 because parking reservations were ending at 11pm. My wife stayed inside until 11:20pm as she was upset as well stating she was bored and will never want to see Mary J Blige ever again. Hardcore fans were upset stating this was the worse experience ever seeing Mary J Blige. The sound was terrible and the acoustics were bouncing all over the place and it appeared that Mary J Blige was sick, possibly congested. We never received any explanation or apologies for the lateness or why one of the acts were a no show. I wanted to give my wife a birthday gift because she had never seen Mary J Blige in concert and this was her experience. Needless to say I will never go back to Capital One Arena for a concert. I wish I knew who the promoter’s name was so I could inform fans to never show them support. I felt robbed without the use of a weapon.

We stopped at Capital One Arena as part of our NHL tour vacation and this was by far the best arena I have been in for NHL games! Access was easy, just a few steps from Metro Stations, easy access, food and drink spots galore! The concourse is huge so you font have the typical crowding of people as you walk throughout. The seating area was large, seats were very comfortable and the temperature was great for a hockey game! The staff of the arena was friendly and welcoming too. Plenty of restrooms around as well so no long lines! When the game ended there was no issues exiting. I will definitely return to this arena in the near future!

My experience at The Harlem Globetrotters show at Capital One Arena was a mix of entertainment and discomfort. While the performance itself was highly entertaining, the seating arrangement at the arena significantly detracted from our enjoyment. The seating at Capital One Arena felt cramped and too close together, diminishing our overall comfort throughout the show. Additionally, the presence of a child sitting on the lap of the person next to me, despite being about 7 years old, was disruptive and invasive. It's unclear why such seating arrangements are allowed, as it greatly impacted the experience for neighboring attendees. Despite the captivating performance by The Harlem Globetrotters, the uncomfortable seating situation and the lack of consideration for personal space ultimately led us to leave the show early. Regrettably, I do not plan to return to Capital One Arena for future events.

I went for a Wizards game Friday night. They weren't victorius, but the customer service made up for it. I didn't know of their bag policy, so I had to put it in a $15 locker outside the arena. There were a lot of breaks and food was a little pricey. There was a lot of big screens and entertainment during the show which was amazing and surprising.

This has always been a fun place to come see a game. It's easily located close to the highway, so getting in and out is quite simple, considering it's in the City. The restrooms are clean, the suites are very clean and nicely maintained, and the audio/sound system in that place is AMAZING!
Parking is pricey and can be a pain though.
Walking in and out is very simple and there are tons of places to grab food and/or drinks nearby.
It's always fun to see the Caps or Wizards play here! I definitely won't be giving Snyder any money, so we no longer go to Skins games, rather we prefer coming here to support these DC teams instead.

We had a great time here seeing Post Malone. The security was great getting in the arena. It did not take us long but we showed up an hour before the concert started. The food is expensive but that is typical at these sorts of events. They did take the lid off of the water and keep it so people couldn't really throw the water bottles at anyone or the musicians. The bathrooms were cleaner than what I thought they would be. The only negative thing I would say is the sound is a bit iffy at times. We sat on the floor seating in section 6 and we could see the stage so we had a good view.

This country girl didn't know. I bought some items along for an entertainer. They knew of one or two things. I truly understand that I was not allowed to bring all into the building. And I understand why they took my bags to deliver themselves BUT some candy I had purchased especially for the guest never made it to them. It was taken by security and I believe it was them because I had wrapped items in Christmas paper and all was unwrapped. One little container made it to them but not, of course, the big expensive one.
bought special for this guest did not. I am still so disappointed that this happened. I didn't tell them about it but I plan to purchase another box when I send something again in March. I just didn't realize city life was like this. I sent two messages, nothing returned I learned my lesson. I won't be returning, this scared me.

Tourists from uk….who do we get tickets for… Washington Capitals or Washington Wizards. We enjoy basketball and hockey equally.
Written 26 January 2022
Caps are the better product for sure. There is so much talent on the Caps, and Alex Ovechkin will go down as one of the greatest hockey players to ever play the game so you don’t want to miss him. The Wizards unfortunately have not been very good for many years and right now they really don’t have anyone that’s a must see player. The atmosphere is also better for the hockey because they are good and routinely in the playoffs.

Me and my friend are both 14 years old and wanted to go to a Harry styles concert. My question is would we be allowed in? Our parents could buy the tickets but would be be allowed to even get in?

I’m guessing you are asking nearby? We dined at a place called Crimson Diner after the game! I thought it was a good place to eat! The area is in the middle of Chinatown! There were several authentic Chinese Restaurants to choose from! We Didn’t get a chance to try any other places due to only staying one night for a Caps game! Good luck and have fun in DC!

Going to see Michael Buble, wondering if it might be better to drive than take Metro just because of timing. They say the concert gets out at 11, last metro I think is at 11:30. Any input would be helpful.

We parked in arena itself but it’s very jam as everyone is trying to get out at the same time. So when we went back there, we found a nearby place (a parking garage) which was more affordable and only 2-3 blocks away. It was goood coz we avoided all the unnecessary congestion by walking to car park. U can search for nearby car park garages that offer good rates ;)

Going to Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final. Which Cap One Arena entrance is the easiest to use? We have regular not VIP tickets. Thanks!
Written 4 June 2018
I went in the mainnentwbce and it went pretty quickly. Thy have way more stations there than any other entrance. Just get in a little early and you should be fine. I hit Game 3 and entered at about 7:45 with no issues. Go Caps!

Going to game 3 and 4 of the Finals. A few questions
1) any pre-game parties?
2) do they practice in the mornings or day before? Is it open to the public
3) any other cool things to do to be part of the experience?
Written 26 May 2018
1) Not sure - check their website/contact them.
2) All NHL teams warm up on ice before the game, which is open to the public. Just get to the game early and it's easy to watch practice - you are also able to start out closer to the ice and move to your assigned seats after warm-ups
3) There are so many things to do in the area - not knowing your taste, it's impossible to tell. Look at what's around that matches what you want. So many delicious restaurants...
