My parents were the generation whose classmate's went to Vietnam. They knew soldiers and they knew medics. Many of the medics were women and these brave women endured not only the horrors of trying to help the victims of war, but were often on or near the front lines. These women are some of the toughest, more courageous people to ever live, and I'm glad that they are recognized by this monument near the wall.

This is a beautiful memorial. A must see for everyone in DC. Don't miss it as it's a little hidden but very close to the Vietnam Memorial and several other great sites.

Only small area but still a touching part of the wider Vietnam Memorials. Features three women caring for a fallen soldier illustrating the different and important roles they did during the Vietnam War. The women who lost their lives are also named on the main wall

How nice to recognise the women as well as the men who made such a sacrifice. It is so close to the other memorials that it warrants a small detour.

Glad this memorial was added to honor and illustrate the sacrifice that many women gave to our soldiers in Vietnam. They provided comfort and help.

Before you go literally study up on the various monuments. There is so much history and background here that you are drinking from a fire hose.

We almost missed this. It is such a moving memorial. The women taking care of the soldier, look at their faces, the pain and sadness.
