With all the rain this year, it is really green and lush. Yampa is close to flood stage, with lots of wetland and plenty of birds. Will be better in a couple weeks. Love the high mountain rivers and streams.

Hands down favorite thing my kids did while in Steamboat. Tubing rental place we used was Backdoor Sports. Positive reviews all the way. River was mild in August - no fears of wild water. Wear your bathing suit and old sneakers/water shoes, life jackets included...More
