On the skyline of the pretty Moorish town of Tavira stands a strange construction. A cylindrical form on spindly legs with what appears to be a single eye that slowly turns to observe the town, it's presence like that of an alien spaceship from War...more

A charming way to see tavira. Our host was very knowledgeable about the history of the town and we learnt a lot! Well worth €4.

Interesting top view above town. Great to go with children. Weird bar facilities on the ground floor.

Well worth a visit. Superb view of Tavira from the Camera Obscura. High climb up stairs or an outside the building lift which is exciting.

Unusual and worthwhile view of the town. A great assistant explains how the mirror/lens system works and it gave us a great overview of the town with a locals knowledge of attractions. At 4 euros each it was well worth it.

I did not realise that the camera obscura was there until my sister came to visit. I just thought the building was a water tower. It was quiet when we visited and so we had the guide to ourselves. It was the first time that...More

This attraction offers very good value for what you get. We climbed the staircase into the old water tower and stood around the large satellite shaped screen which was flat out before us all. As the door was closed and we stood in the darkness,...More
