At the top of the mountain. Not an easy climb, but you should. Take water as there are no services. You will not be disappointed.

We walked up the stairs to the church. The wife used a baby wrap thing because a stroller was going to be carried the whole way with little use. The church was beautiful & definitely worth a visit. We would do it again.

On the top of Monemvasia castle-city is the church of Agia Sofia is situated. If you decide to "climb" to the top, you will admire this excellent Byzantine monument and you will have the feeling that you are near the heaven, near the God!

P.S. After 15 trips to Greece, Monemvasia still evoked a "WOW" factor. Great choice. Enjoy and bring your camera!
