We had cycled from Riga and enjoyed our first natural stop at the Ragakapa Park. I am sure there will be plenty of interesting trails to follow, and we felt a sense of discovery on the small paths/trails we followed there. We happened upon the...More

A beautiful piece of natural environment, unfortunately at their beginning to be a park. According to eventually wide measyres best way to see all is riding a bycicle. Has some gigh dunes with possibility to drive down, but be aware there are lot of trees...More

It's an easy hike in a pleasant environment. There are wooden trails in some parts of the park which makes it even more interesting. You can read about the nature at several stops or simply enjoy the sound of woodpeckers.

The nature park is full of old beautiful trees and good trails. Easy to access with a bike and by foot, even with a good stroller. If you go pass the woods, you get to a lovely beach that is way less crowded than Jurmala....More

In my opinion, Ragakapa Nature Park and Lielupe (the administrative territory where this park is located and which is part of Jurmala resort town) are one of the most easily accessible spots for a leisurely day outside Riga. It takes only ~ 25 minutes by...More

Perfect place for those appreciating fantastic fresh air from sea, walking in real wood on made wooden tracks, which are various routes. Just for walking by foot. To tell the truth there's nothing else to see or to do - if only beach to walk...More

The open- air museum has many buildings and boats of an earlier time. Very pleasant to wander about. It is all free.

Really nice walk in the forest near the beach. You can visit open air museum as well and find out more about the history of fishing and fishermen lifestyle. Definetely recommended.

Nice way to spend an afternoon. Walk and quiet usually when a band is not playing at the "36 line". Not so easy to reach but there are signs. We got there by taxi (about 15 euro from Riga old city).

The best forest in Latvia! Clean and beautiful. Right next to Lielupe beach full of sand dunes and all types of birds. Wonderful walk to the mouth of the river Daugava. Wooden staircase leading to fishing museum. Ideal for hiking and running.
