Gustav II Adolf founded Tartu, then called Dorpat, and its first university back in the days. This monument is a nice nod to its Swedish roots.

The statue of the founder of Tartu University. Just a lifesize statue of a swedish king. Nice little park around it though where it is good to sit down for a bit, maybe have a beer or cigarette or whatever rings your bell :)
