Tartu Old City is lovely old town but very different from Tallinn’s. Tartu is much smaller and there is not so much to see. Interesting thins though, like the old city hall and the old, ruined university.

It was quite peaceful on a Saturday. It's not big, just a few streets and a park to walk around but the architecture is nice to look at.

Tartu old town is friendly palve to walk around looking at the old houses, lots of nice restaurants, hotels and shops there. The area is not wide. Comfortable shoes are good to your feet there.

The old city is rather small but full of dynamics because it is occupied by students mainly. Although, you may go around all streets there in couple of hours, it is full of interesting places and has quite some night live.
