The Old Town walls are a beautiful sight, and it's an enjoyable experience to walk around town and admire the stone walls, towers and turrets, and the maze of streets, shops, cafes and artists spread throughout. I wasn't as impressed by climbing up and taking...More

The Old City of Tallinn is surrounded by a huge rock wall which was constructed in Medieval times as a defense against invaders.

You can pay 2 euros and walk along part of the wall and up three turrets, one with amazing views. Get a Tallinn card and it is free. It has amazing views from the walkway and turrets.

Very easy to find as the wall is obviously in the old town, and really worth seeing. Very well preserved and really gives an idea as to how the old town would have looked like all those years ago.

The Old Town walls are in great condition, it seems a miracle that so much survived even though they have probably been repaired/restored many times. What is visible and explorable today is amazing. It is a pity so many people only spend a short time...More

Definitely a must-see in Tallinn. From the wall and the several towers, you have a great view of the city. Highly recommend.

30-45 minutes is more than enough to visit this place. It has more than 700 years of being built. It’s considered one of the most conserved fortification in Northern Europe. It used to have almost 2.5 km. In the visit, you have access to just...More

It might be quite a climb but you get a free visit to an art gallery on the way and who knows you could pick up the souvenir of your dreams.

Great place to walk though and see many local artists at work. There are some good places to stop and get some great pictures. You can't miss this walk though.

There is a substantial amount of wall to look at but it is worth noting that not all of it can be walked round. Alot of the pavement near the walls is cobbled which appeared to be causing some issue for people with prams.

We had a bus ride from the ferry to downtown. It was included with our tour but it is a very walkable and compact city. It's a great place to pick up hand made gifts at any price range.

There are free bits and bits that have a small charge. We paid for a small section because there were other things to see there,. You just need to wander around the town and everthing is clearly signed and you just stumble... More
