Patkuli viewing platform is situated in one of the most ancient parts of Tallinn. It has fairytale views of the Old Town and its towers and walls, all the way down to the port. The stairway leading up to the platform was constructed in 1903. There are 157 steps connecting Toompea to the town below, with the stairway coming out in Toompark by the Shnelli pond.

Ventured up here whilst looking at the aristocrat part of the city and wasn't disappointed. We came late in the evening and with the clear sky, snow covering the parks and buildings it looked absolutely beautiful. It was an easy walk up from the old...More

If you follow Rick Steve's walking guide, you will wind through quaint old alleys to get to this vista that is wonderful for photos. Be patient, it is a tour group favorite. We just had to wait a couple of minutes for crowds to pass.

Great views over the Old town, it is the place to take postcard-perfect photographs. However there are a lot of tourists that push around and a lot of rude people after e.g. 11 am, so come early in the morning to enjoy it for yourself.

Come here to experience the amazing panoramic views of Tallilnn. Unbeatable.Just take it all in. Come later on the evening when there are less people. Just get lost in the winding cobbled streets and the colourful buildings. You will get great photos here too.

Climbing the stairs is not that tough. At the top is a great view of the city on a sunny day. Probably the best spot for a photo.

Go here to have beautiful views of Tallinn. The sunsets are spectacular. Take the stairs down on the other side and explore from there.

Yes, you can go from Old town side - walk up the streets with no stairs.
