About
Due to the massive religious conversion at the end of the 19th century, the 18th-century Ekateriina's Church became too small for the Parnu orthodox congregation. So, in 1904, the historic Old Russian-style Parnu Transformation of Our Lord Apostolic Orthodox Church was built and its congregation (Estonian) was separated from the former congregation of Ekateriina's congregation (Russian). The church had a typical to that time brick facade and a base of granite ashlar work. The campanile is 38 m high and the cupola 34 m high. The altar wall holds 11 icons and 11 major wall paintings with figurative composition.

A magnificent Russian Orthodox Church near The Central Square. We spent a good half hour here taking photos of the building. It looks excellent in every angle. There is a small garden around the church and I can imagine it will be so beautiful during Christmas.

Magnificent Orthodox church, as always there is no entrance fee.The church brick facade, typical of the era, with a granite plinth. The campanile is 38 m, and the dome - 34. Inside the church there are 11 icons.

A small beautiful cathedral and a bishops seat for western Estonia where one can see a bishops service at Sundays if lucky with a lot of processions, bishop and some 50 faithful.
Actually taking pictures is possible but one should ask politely from the church folk- at least it helped me and nobody asked for money.
There is a small wooden chapel (Chasson) in front of the church that looks really picturesque and worth photo opportunity.

Nice small orthodox church, feeling very special for the real christian orthodoxes, especially Russian ones.

The church is beautiful both outside and inside. Photographing inside Will cost you, and the personnel are quite agressive to point it out.

First off, I'm not religous. But when you walk into this church it is quite stunning. There is a very peaceful vibe to the place and its hard not be impressed with the architecture and history. We walked in at around 8pm and seemed to have the place to ourselves. If you can, pop in and see for yourself.

This is a very pretty Russian Orthodox Church, but they are only open certain hours, for example at 1600 to 1800 on a Wednesday afternoon. It is worth seeing even if you can not get into the Church
